So where do you include the 6 clangers, the 2 free kicks against, that 70% of his possessions are handballs, or that he's averaging 9 mtrs gained per possession?

Not saying you're wrong, but this might account for some of it.

He has had 1 turnover and 2 free kicks against. Not sure where 6 clangers come from.
Effective handballs still score, meters gained don’t seem to matter for all the chip scabs in the backline.
his 3rd quarter stat like and points he scored was a farce.

No argument there. Luke Dunstan has a similar stat line to Cripps this game, and a similar SC score.

Also when the game is effectively decided at half time, later scores count less.
