Honestly, the AFL might not get everything right, but they do their level best on this front. Genuinely very good.

No. This is quite simply a monumental ****-up by them. They’d done the smart thing, then got COVID cocky. Have they not been noticing the situation in NSW and the open border to QLD?

The AFL has no-one to blame but itself. It made the wise decision to ship all 18 teams to Melbourne a few weeks ago. Then for some unknown and bizarre reason it shipped a stack to QLD. Why? Even in lockdown VIC Gov was allowing games to go ahead albeit with no crowds. AFL prioritised crowds over a guaranteed continuation of the season. Bizarre.
