why didn’t Nick Daicos, greatest talent the sports ever seen not play today? I thought he was named?
Make A Wish got him a free goal 5m out. Apparently they saw his soft efforts in the first half and mistook him for a poor child without a heart.

Tom Mitchell getting subbed out and us walking it out of the middle all day, was almost going too far.

OK I know it was the right decision, but did we really have to prove it that emphatically?
He earned his money from Hawthorn today

Great Team Performance. So many highlights. Even Wingard (who is not a personal favourite) had a day out. Ryan is looking like a player they have tried to get for some time. Allows Kozitsche (sp) to have different match-up. Best looking forward line all year. Onballers went with/beat the 'best' onballers in the comp. Damien Barrett can GF, 'tanking' call early part of the season is just his usual dribble. Promising for 2024. Flying Ryan, Kai Lohman or Mitch Giorgiades to Hawks in off-season?

First post in a long time but just logged on to say go you bloody good things!

First win I’ve attended in person since pre-covid times, and despite witnessing more than my fair share in the 2010s decade, what a surreal feeling. Great to see some atmosphere creep back into our match day too.

The lads have to be commended for putting in four solid quarters, something we’ve really struggled with for a long time.

Buzzing. 😎

Should have been the Blue Diamonds.

But even with that shocking injustice, what a wonderful win.

It wasn't that we snuck over the line with the Wobbles not at their best.

It's that we knocked them off balance and never let them recover.

We put our best up against theirs and we won comfortably.

We took a couple of gut punches, 4 goals on the trot in the second, a couple of umpiring embarrassments, we made a couple of untimely errors, but nothing could sway us.

We hit them and hit them and hit them again.

They hesitated. They second-guessed. They fumbled. All because we put our foot on their throats and didn't let off.

Today was the first game I can remember where both the kids and the veterans did exactly what we know they're capable of. Everyone.

Just. Effing. Great.

And I can't wait to see repeat performances over the next few years.

Add a Karl Amon, a couple of early draft picks and a big free agent and anything is possible.

Just a great day to be a Hawks supporter. My favourite day since the threepeat.

Full credit to every single player and coach. Just wonderful.

Great win, so many contributors. Wonderful response after the double goal fiasco. Also loved that when the intensity went up a notch, we brought the heat.
It looked like our boys have been waiting for this game all year vs Titch given the media commentary around our midfield.

I'm typically on the fence regarding our rucks but gee the contrast between this week & last is remarkable. Our midfield was great!
I have wanted to see only one of Meek & Reeves, so glad Kosi was able to hustle in the ruck and kick goals as the backup - hoping to see more of it. As far as team balance goes, the inclusion of Ryan could be really important.
Morrison was impactful - can't sneeze at a rundown of Noble, kicked the goals he should kick (take note Daysy) and shared the ball when he was low probability of kicking the goal. He's defs better fwd of centre.

Thoroughly enjoyed Breust doing Breust things.

Kosi is mighty effective as backup ruck. We looked so effective today.
