Richmond’s forward line likes this post.

Seriously? Backline is solid as f#$k without him. DGB, Sicily are quite qualified to handle Riewoldt and Lynch. Hardwick is that in form he could easily take care of Bolton when he goes forward. Blanck isn't exactly Chris Langford.

Our backline should hold up better against Richmond. They don't have the F50 tackling pressure of previous years, and the past two weeks we've mainly been exposed by pressure brought on by over use or poor decisions in that area of the ground.

Don’t know how else you squeeze Blanck back in - who will be vital with Lynch/Riewoldt to take on. DGB should get another game - I don’t think constantly having him come in and out will be benenficial.
I don’t see how dropping Jeka before DGB could be justified on performance. Jeka did well on GC’s best key forward and held him goalless for the first time this year.

He was better than DGB both defensively and offensively and has better Box Hill form too. Maybe all 3 play but if someone has to make room for Blanck, it would be DGB.

I’d otherwise drop Impey and give Shiels a farewell game.

Big question for mine - who does Finn go to?

Hardwick to Bolton?
Finn to Prestia? Rioli?
Bolton. He’s the most damaging. He presents a different type of challenge for Maginness too - even the slightest slip in defensive concentration and Bolton can damage. Maginness has done the job on elite outside ball users like Dawson, and gun running mids like Miller. Set him the challenge on the explosive and creative goal kicker

Sadly I think the Tigers will beat us comfortably, too much for them to play for + they have the better more experienced team.

I'd ******* love to be wrong.

Unless the comedy tigers from a few weeks back turn up?

50m penalty leading to a Sis goal after the siren for the win?

It really isn’t. We beat the Gold Coast - let’s keep a lid on it shall we. Jeka did well but he’s yet another intercept defender and if he turned over half of his disposals like he did yesterday then Richmond will make us pay hard.

Blanck has been a revelation as a big bodied defender so far this year - and with Lynch there I’d rather Blanck down back to show what he’s capable of. If DGB has to go back to Box Hill in order for Jeka to be rewarded for what he did right yesterday so be it - but Blanck must play.

Gee, Frosty is probably depth in 2023.
When the kids come on next season, Impey should be depth too. They are both good footballers that can play a role when needed but we need consistently better players for the side to improve.

Impey has added much needed speed in the forward half since moving away from playing in defence. Hawthorn are also undefeated when Impey has played as a forward. Furthermore, this move has allowed Moore to play in the midfield during the last five weeks.

You’re not wrong, but hence he said when the kids come on. Presumably this means Brockman is still there and Butler is improving.

Agree. Forward line looks to have more chaos pressure with impey there.
