Never seen a port side make so many dumb decisions in a game. Shoutout to BZT for making about half a dozen of them single handedly.

Typical Hinkleyball really. Absolute unorganised crap on field but individual brilliance of JHF, Boak, Butters and in Q4 Rozee pulled a W out of nowhere.

Never? We've had umpteen years of this close game mishaps and panic football.

This performance keeps big doubt on whether we can win a prelim still.

Terrible game by Jordon Sweet.

Needs to focus on ruckwork and not on using his jumper for hold onto Max Gawn's fist.
Gawn was a protected species tonight. Can't compete against someone who is getting the royal treatment from the maggots.

What's the official AFL rule about how long play can carry on before they are can't call back and have a second look at a goal review that the umpires haven't called the first time?
Or are we just waiting for it to cost a Victorian team a game before they make a decision about that being something a professional league needs to think about
I'm fairly sure they can't do what they did here, and just made it up. But the AFL will tick it off.

Surely being able to call a review can't be dependent on if a mark is taken relatively soon after.

That was a shit display of football that instills no confidence in our ability to hold up to finals pressure.

But still, good to beat a team the had the umpires and commentary team on their side.
To win when we really played poorly for most of the night is important.

Our backline held up exceptionally well. Forwards were meh. They defended us really well. Credit to Charlie for kicking two. Ratugolea does a lot right as a forward but his kicking for goal is going to hurt us.

Our mids were beaten comprehensively.

Played shit mostly but gutsed it out and got the points. Beat Melbourne on the MCG, their whinging umpire's pet Gawn and the umps themselves, so that's a very satisfying 'stick it right up ya' win after a tough watch.

They're building me up to knock me down in September again though.

You think finals is going to have a big step up on what Melbourne brought in this game pressure wise?

Not a pretty win. Couldn't get the game on our terms as much and by god the umpiring was atrocious. Great to bank those ever important 4 points.

It was terrible the number of times he puts his guernsey in Gawn's fist to try and milk frees. Luckily the umpire was awake to that.

Agree, his last quarter apart from the Gawn(umpire) free, he stepped up.

Take the 4 points, that’s about it..

Reiwoldt right, ya serve that up and lose by 60 in a final, as we have seen before
IMO, it’s really simple for us come finals. Wines and Drew do their job to make sure we win the contested ball and stop the opposition winning it, and we will be alright. If they don’t, which was the case tonight, we’re in trouble just like we were in last year’s finals. Wines and Drew, this season comes down to you. ****ing do your jobs.
