They will miss his monster tackles on guys younger/smaller than him once the ball goes out of play

Really looks like their board is eci about avoiding 9thThe first post on the Richmond board about the game is pretty funny and worth a read, includes the rather immortal:
"The only problem is now 25 years later that dirty shag turned into three kids and a mortgage."
First time in a long time we will have decent draft picks and in a year where we will have 5 inside 30 and possibly 3 inside the 1st round . Never been a person to wish the tigers lose but i think this week with Clarko leaving Silk finishing up and Mitch 150 and players we wont play either injured or cotton wool'dIt wont help your draft picks or your draw for next year.
A win doesnt help or hinder either side now.
Next year we will smash your sorry asses
Yeah ok.One injury to Martin next year and the only thing you'll be smashing is beers in the offseason
Cotch won't retire. He'll drink up the media BS and think they're a chance next season
I can't stand this new mentality thats crept in, where as soon as your team is out of the finals contention your team should fold like a deck of cards and tank for draft picks. Half the people that are praying for a loss like they would a premiership on grand final day wouldn't know the name of the player they are hoping to pick up at the draft. That's not sport. It's competition. Play to win til the bitter end. Let's be honest losing this week for either of these teams is not going to make a huge difference to where they finish or the pick they get. Play to win and lose with dignity if that's the way that game goes !Yeah ok.
Think you will see a very different tigers attitude in 2022
Good luck this week hope you send off your champs in the manner they deserve both are class humans

I recall years ago teams would go all out to spoil the party for their rivals and shape the finals, where have those days gone...Hawks seem to be the only ones looking to salvage something from their season and hopefully take it into preseason.
Let's send our champs out in style Hawkers !
didn't mean to.. don't take it personally. Not sure why you quoted my post
Come on mate, they’ll still have Castagna. One injury to Martin next year and the only thing you'll be smashing is beers in the offseason
LRC?Richmond are preparing for 2022. Anyone with a slight injury is sitting in the stands and the rest of the players are putting in minimal effort just trying to get through to the end of the season. Their only players playing for something are flat-trackers like Castagna... or however you spell his f*n name.
We have players playing for a new contract that would have been guaranteed should we not have sacked LRC. Therefore, we have players playing for their lives and should be enough incentive to win this with a leg in the air.
My only hope for this week is to do what every other non-finals side is doing and not play anyone with a slight injury. e.g. Kossie with his ankle, JOM with his knee, etc etc.
The attitude of a team that cant win 3 in a rowYeah ok.

You do understand that this is just a supporter point of view and not exactly what the club or players will do ?I can't stand this new mentality thats crept in, where as soon as your team is out of the finals contention your team should fold like a deck of cards and tank for draft picks. "Not exactly what the club or players will do"...hhmmm, that doesn't make me feel any better about this league wide obsession of losing for draft picks...You do understand that this is just a supporter point of view and not exactly what the club or players will do ?
It has no influence to the out come and just an opinion on which would work our better for your team.
But every supporter still celebrates a win and if a loss doesnt mean anything as its just a non event game
Has not crept in now , been around since the draft was introduced"Not exactly what the club or players will do"...hhmmm, that doesn't make me feel any better about this league wide obsession of losing for draft picks...
I fully understand what you wish for as a fan doesn't influence the result but I happen to believe a supporter base hoping to lose isn't healthy for the game and I do believe it creeps into the mindset of the clubs who might not be motivated as they should to win a game of football..I've felt the same way at certain times through my teams season, which might be a little more understandable after having a 2-9 start, but its not how I would choose to support my club...
A solution for mine is to implement a lottery system for the draft to take away the incentive of losing.
Anyways, I'll stop bleating on now. Go Hawks.
I've seen that's it's been an issue at the pointy end of the draft for as long as the draft has been around but now it's accepted as soon as you can't make the finals the best thing to do is tank...Please, spare me...Go out for one more game and give something back to a guy like David Astbury who's bled for your club.Has not crept in now , been around since the draft was introduced

I'm not directing this at you or Tigers supporters specifically...I'm saying its an issue with the way that fans support their clubs and Hawks supporters are as guilty as anyone, and I've been an offender myself...Agree with you, let us move on...See my post above saying 'This is not a club thought' but supporter way of thinking
My god i remember not so long ago the hawks supporters were talking about pick #2 and if horne might get ther
chill pill guys - Good luck
see you in 2022
Its true and i was probably the most critical during the 2008 season where melbourne blatantly tanked the last game against Richmond to get the #1 pick as well as their #2 in which they drafted Scully & Trengrove leaving us the 'left over' Dustin Martin - KarmaI'm not directing this at you or Tigers supporters specifically...I'm saying its an issue with the way that fans support their clubs and Hawks supporters are as guilty as anyone, and I've been an offender myself...Agree with you, let us move on...
Good luck to you also, my bro's a Tiger's supporter so I don't mind you guys personally. All the best.

My initial post was mostly influenced by the draft picks we hold this year and the positioning of the talent mainly WA kids around the picks and being able to select before west coast & fremantle.
But like you i have a spot for the Hawks mainly due to my respect for what your club has been able to achieve in my life time (55 years)
They have been without a doubt the best performed club in this period. Dimma was also assistant to Clarko and Clarko is on par with 2 other coaches i rate the best . Sheedy & Hafey.
