We finished 2019 strongly as well and that turned out to be a dead cat bounce. Let's hope this strong finish is a sign of bigger and better things.
I'm hoping that next year Sam points out to the players that he will be looking closely to their performances at the start of the season as a key determinant on whether their stay at the club is extended.

If we take players with less than 50 games, I reckon the following have genuine top tier potential:
Scrimshaw, Jiath, Day, Reeves, Moore, Nash, Grainger-Barras
This is based on known physical attributes and demonstrated skills (glimpses only in the case of Reeves, Nash and Grainger-Barras.
There is a second group with a reasonable prospect:
Brockman, Lewis, Koschitzke, Bramble.
And a third group who are a chance:
Downie, Jeka, Newcombe
We are likely to pick up at least two additional top-tier prospects in the draft.

That will give us 16 potential top-tier players at the beginning of the 2022 season. They won't all make it to the top tier but if half do we will have 8 to add to the established top-tier of Wingard, Breust, Gunston and O'Meara with the probability of picking up another top-tier player via free-agency within the next two years. The is a pretty good base for a tilt.

The 7 I bolded are are the ones I probably see with the most potential, I'm also rather bullish on Jeka's ceiling but who knows what way it'll go.

As the game approaches I am getting increasingly sad and emotional about the fact that I can't go and cheer Silk and Clarko off the field at the end of the game. I am so glad that my family and I were able to be there for Silk's 400th. I guess this lockdown has made me really appreciate the privileges i have had to go to training and watch them at the MCG. Sadly that is coming to an end this year hopefully things will change at the end of this year and we can have clean air next year

People will complain about the outs being kids but I hope they understand the ins in the context of Silk and Clarko.

10 changes? Nuts.

Im so glad Breust gets to play in the farewell for Burgoyne and Clarko. Must have been touch and go.

Great to see JOM and Worpel have recovered too.
Very poor form for Richmond to put a second string team out for the last game. Showing no respect to the contest or the opposition.. It’s just a way to ensure they keeps their draft position from my perspective. What are they resting players for? They’ve got 6 months to out their feet up. GGF Tigers!!

Gee would have loved to see the omissions given another game after such a great performance last week. But very special occasion so the big names deserve their spots.

Suspect Breust may not get up so we may see one back in

Fair call, but also, what are they risking injuries for? If they think they are a serious shot at next year they dont want any PCLs, ACLs, or other serious injuries.

It also can be a good chance for a final showing before lists get culled. Or advertising players they are willing to trade out.

Still not a certainty to play Punky. Won’t know to right before the game.

Breust isn't playing. He's going to be a late out for Brockman.

Named as a way to be able to actually get him into the ground for the send-offs of Silk and Clarko.

I personally believe if you have a game to play you put your best team out there to give yourself the best opportunity to win. They’ve conceded before the bounce of the ball.. a lot of those guys have minor injuries and would’ve played if they were intent on winning.. Bruest is trying to play out the season and could easily have started his summer holidays three weeks ago.. thumbs down from me..
