What does McEntee do better offensively or defensively than DBJ?

DBJ more goals, more disposals, more tackles, more pressure acts per game, and that's despite being subbed on or off twice this year and despite spending the first three games of the year in defence. No superstar himself but better than McEntee at just about everything.
You could apply this to so many players that aren't getting a game over McEntee.
Narkle for example, showed so much more than McEntee ever has.

The negativity on this thread is a little much.

We effectively played a dead rubber today given travel is on the cards win or lose.

We got the W and didn't cop any significant injures so mission accomplished.

Will be up to our eyeballs against Brisbane in 2 weeks time.

Especially with possible additions of Dixon, Marshall, McKenzie.

I don’t know why people think we’d be a better chance playing at Adelaide oval
Any perceived impact on our performance that might come at Adelaide Oval, will never outweigh the MASSIVE advantage that Brisbane will gain from playing at home. It's not just the crowd momentum factor, or their familiarity with the ground, but also the conditions.

It's a massive advantage that takes what would be a 50/50 game at our ground to maybe a 80/20 in their favour.

It's for that reason that I don't understand why people would even bother trying to justify that we wont be negatively impacted by playing away.

We managed to wind up in front in the free kick count for the first time in 3 months, mainly due to a late flurry in our favour.

Some of those decisions during the game oh my. The bounce that went outside the circle and gave Richmond a free punch forward for a goal, no recall.

Bolton caught in a tackle, missed the ball trying to kick it, that's holding the ball all day, every day. But not today. Goal Richmond from the crumb.

They can complain about ones that went against them but incorrect disposal was only paid one way until the last 15 minutes.

Oh and thanks to the crows for ruining football with their endless complaining about one bad decision, now goal umpires won't make a remotely contentious decision. One quarter went near 38 minutes with about 4 goals kicked because of all the reviews.

It’s as much that we’re known chokers and taking away our home ground advantage puts our backs to the wall and may help steel our resolve.

I said before the game I’d be happy with a 30 point win and no injuries.

But it was so ugly I’m still disappointed.

Brisbane have only won their last 3 at the Gabba by 11, 6 and 12 points, and the teams they have beaten haven't been outstanding. The crows probably should of beat them with more scoring shots.

They aren't unbeatable - I don't think anyone is this season. But we need to bring pressure and keep the game tight if we are to have a chance

Lycett was about best on ground first up after a break.

Dylan Williams made a difference when he came on and went into defence. Took some strong contested marks and his usual precise disposal. Never leave him out again.

Does the SANFL have a bye before finals? And what are the rules for the AFL players?

Can Mackenzie/Lycett play next week in the SABFL and week 1 of the finals? (Also what do the rules mean for the Adelaide AFL players?)

Lycett is the worst ruckman in the comp, is a big reason why we lost to Richmond and Bulldogs in previous finals and should never play a finals for us again if we are serious.

That said if McKenzie is ready he's an in for Jonas for me. Jonas hasn't done enough. We lose a lot of run from the backline just because of his inability to execute anything other than hack kicks.

A better defensive mark than Bergman, Jones, Farrell, Burton. Opens up the play better than all of them with his vision and accuracy. He would have been handy with Aliir being tagged to provide some cover.

And one of the worst sub options. His strength is reading the play, and is more like to be less effective outside is defence.

What is Brisbane's record in home finals like over the last 4 seasons?

I'll save you the time - it's 2 wins, 4 losses.

They've lost qualifying finals, semi finals and preliminary finals at home.

If we lose it will be because we were the inferior team, not because of the venue.

This is what I was saying last night when the bed wetters started about not finishing top 2.
As you said statistically it makes no difference playing home or away in finals.
I think it just gives the average bed wetter another reason to piss themselves.

Yeah his first game back after missing 4 games.
The night we beat Melbourne at home, he was one of our best that night against the best ruck in the competition.
His form after that was really good also.
He’s better than people rate him on BF.
All good. Thought you were referring to yesterday's game at Elizabeth. He was poor and nowhere in the realm of selection but the spectre of Hinkley.....
