A very good win given how much there midfield dominated. They had 8 of the top 10 possession getters and still couldnt etch out a win. I hope the recruitment team were aware of RTB's plan in the last half of the year and are prepared to nail the later picks we now get. Thankfully our 2nd round pick linked to Adeliade hasnt blown out.

Everyone laughing can go and get ****ed. Honestly, think of the bigger picture. Years of mediocrity has us celebrating a nothing win cheering on on others misery. Nothing to be proud of winning when it doesn't count. We've shot ourselves in the foot but excuse me for interrupting the little circle jerk of supporters who want to celebrate winning a nothing match as though it's our Grand Final. I'm embarrassed, I want a flipping flag, I want the best chance at getting a flag - today hurt those chances. I've followed the draft closely this year, we shot ourselves in the foot and we are happier to see pain on other people faces because they hurt us in the past when we were crap.

Wanting to lose to preserve those picks is pathetic stuff. That sort of mentality is bad for football clubs, and does more harm than the good whatever players picked at those spots would do.
North Melbourne did the right thing winning late last year, St Kilda did the right thing winning tonight.
Winning doesn’t ever set a club back.

Just watched the replay of the last two minutes three times. Aaaahhhhh the schadenfreude. Their disbelieving, crumpled little faces and heads in hands. F*** Carlton. Totally valid to be enjoying their suffering after all of the pig arrogance and cheating they’ve passed off as being a solid club over the decades. Did I mention, “F*** Carlton”.
I also wanted pick 5, but - what about the belief and confidence from a win like that with a full house hostile crowd.
Since Rd 16 we’ve beaten Cats, Swans and now the Scum. Lost to Port by two points. Started the season 3-8. Finished the season 8-4. Young fellas starting to find their feet. Get the next draft right. There’s hope.

Fremantle were favourites to win the game before it started.
That would make the most likely scenario Carlton missing finals.

He was feeling a bit off colour. He had an unusual brown and gold hue.
The gather and snap was all-time instinct from Higgo. He grabbed the ball when it was behind his head, he probably didn't even see it but it stuck like glue. No settling, chucked it on the boot through a sea of hands. Perfect technique.
