We need to maximise our physical intensity against port as they will assert themeselves on our youngsters.
Looked like a bruising contest against the swans so they might be a little sore.

Perhaps we will throw Ballenden into the mix at the expenseof Walker, Ballenden was emergency last week so he is a chance.

We don't have Dancin Doug Hawkins this week like back in 95.
But we do have Determined Dane Beams, firing out handballs to players while under extreme pressure.

3KZ is Football, one of my good mates when I was in my secondary years was a huge TISM fan and if memory serves, I am sure he said that they were all school teachers and disguised themselves at all public events / album sleeves etc.?

Is that correct?

School teachers and solicitors I believe.

I am a big fan of TISM and was present at Melb Uni for some of their first gigs was back in 1985! Saw them many times after this.

Peter Minack, who was Ron Hitler-Barassi, was a school teacher and even wrote a book on the American Civil war (Campaigning with Grant - YouTube interview here). Damian Cowell has a band called Damian Cowell's Disco Machine and previous bands The DCs and ROOT! (all available to listen to on YouTube on the channel of WelshTISMFan or Cowell's website). There is plenty of other information on the TISM Wikipedia page.

The football world’s response to Port Adelaide v Brisbane Lions this weekend.
We Victorians know exactly how much media interest this game will create.

Great OP respectful and insightful.
My favourite former Lion now playing for Port (note: it's not Polec) is yet to set the world alight at Alberton, seemingly still suffering from the shoulder injury that knocked him around last year. I do hope Rocky can get healthy and play some good footy in a side that should go deep this year. But I also hope his break out game is at least one more week away.
imo your spot on re Rockliff's shoulder. It's being sold to us as a hyper-extended knee and who knows it might be but at our
pre-season Family day scratch match he got crunched at virtually the opening bounce. Not 10mins later he is bumped in the shoulder
and it was obvious to me 20m away that Rocky wasn't right. Barely took part after that and missed the JLT series.
If you haven't heard of Todd Marshall yet, you soon will. 7 goals already this year from 22 touches and silky skills for a big guy. Port grabbed him with pick 16 in the 2016 draft, and at nearly 2m tall he's got to be one of the most exciting KPF prospects going around.
We're very excited about Marshall too but you've got Eric Hipwood who looks a beauty to me.

One last point before I wear out my welcome. Went up for our game in May (?) last year and was very impressed with how you guys
are flying the flag in a rugby dominated state. Outside the ground the stalls and kids friendly stuff you organised was great.
That night the weather was amazing and yeah the game ended up one sided but I walked away saying to my Brother in Law
Kudos to Brisbane and the way they go about gameday.

All the best this year and a big hi to western royboy.

In the 5 games we've played at Adelaide Oval we have an average losing margin of 91 points.

I'm as blind a Lions optimist as you'll find - but even I can't see anything other than a complete blowout unfortunately.

This is the likely outcome, hopefully we are wrong.

School teachers and solicitors I believe.
And prostitutes. ...sorry solicitors, you covered that.

I remember seeing them at a livid festival at the show grounds. One of the roughest mosh pits I have ever been in

Great times. Them and Painters and Dockers. Remember jumping off the balconies into the crowd at Dockers' gigs. Also remember seeing Hunters and Collectors earliest gig at Melb Uni in 1981 and Boys Next Door at The Seaview Ballroom was ....well ....psychedelic.

Dodongo will put this out there. If we win this week Dodongo will get Dodongo's last nut removed without anaesthetic and Dodongo will have it filmed and uploaded here for all to see.

One hopes that it will a) come with a 'spoiler' alert and b) might be worth checking it does not breach any posting guidelines otherwise you will have sacrificed in vain...

I saw Painters and Dockers in Darwin once, but I cannot remember a single thing.

We must’ve been at the same gigs. Used to pretty much live at the Seaview Ballroom and The Prince of Wales. I had one of those psychedelic experiences you speak of seeing Iggy Pop at the Ballroom in the early 80’s. Much fun!

Went to this one amongst plenty of others:

Jealous!

I am going out on a limb here to say that I think this will be similar to last years game. We travel well and play better as pure underdogs than with expectation. Or pressure and contested footy is up on last year and our legs are fresh. I think it will be competitive for half the game and then they will pull away by 40-50 points. I don't think we will just roll over and cope a 80+ hiding though. This will serve as a small indicator of our improvement.
