Mitchell backed in the troops and they gave us that performance.

I'd like to see both Lynch/Ramsden in for Kosi/Reeves. It's not going to solve all our issues but I think it will help with mobility at ground level and marking.

DGB had a good game. I don't see the value in persisting in Frost when we're getting opened up anyway. Carlton played Weitering every week they were getting belted.

O'Sullivan & Brockman, along with Butler, should be considered to give us forward pressure. No need to rush Chad back. Locking the ball in our 50 should help combat opposition rebounds.

But that's far too many changes.

  • Dgb18 &10 marks,walks into the back 6
  • Brockman 3 goals 2. walks in up fwd.
it's important we play both these boys both in our best 22, play in spots we lack and from Perth.

Long,Mitchell,Stephens put up there hand i am keen to see one play. Some experienced heads in Morrison, Scrimshaw are available.

I think Finn and definatly one of the rucks will make way. Frost and Jiath will be lucky to hold there spots but could be used up fwd.

For those suggesting Scrimshaw come in, his niggle may prevent him from serious consideration, unless it was a pre planned strategy to only play half a game at Box Hill due to a 6 day turnaround
The management of Jack is a real head scratcher.

He has a quad “niggle”, so he didn’t play the PM against Collingwood, had a week’s rest, then played a full VFL practice match.

By all reports he was late to the last training session at Waverley and didn’t take part in most of the session.

Then he only plays half the VFL game.

Hard to see this building up his match fitness. If anything, it’s the reverse.

out -Finn,Reeves,Frost,Impey,Greene,
in - Dgb,Morrison,Butler,Brockman.

Depending on who is used as the second Ruck Lynch might get the nod up forward. otherwise I would use Frost as a fwd/2nd ruck option.

I’d love to see CJ have a crack at playing as a pressure forward. We have huge issues on keeping the ball in, and let’s be honest, while Lewis is out, keeping it in is going to be our best chance at scoring. Brockman, JOS or even Seamus could help as well, the forward line isn’t working atm, so change it and get dirty and hungry in there.

I think DGB needs a crack after a decent effort this morning, and I’d leave Hardwick down back. Scrimshaw if fit and available needs to play as the more composed foot skills we have down there the better.

The midfield is young, and learning to play with each other still. Would like to see more urgency in defending turnovers as we are still too easy to transition against.

As I’ve said earlier, losses atm don’t worry me one bit, it’s part of the process, but effort and skills need to improve in areas.

One of the very few positives today was the small forwards that performed well for Box Hill.

O’Sullivan: 18 disposals - 6 marks - 2 tackles - 2 goals - 2 behinds
Brockman: 12 disposals - 3 marks - 3 goals - 2 behinds
Bennetts: 13 disposals - 5 marks - 3 tackles - 1 goal
Bennetts' kick to the leading forwards today was excellent.

Why would you take Nash out after that?
Some people make up their minds about a player after two games and a quarter. They could win ten consecutive Brownlows and they'd still be calling for their head because they decided they were bad and then put the blinkers on and head phones in.

Agree with most of your Ins & outs, I think Greene stays as he had 4 shots on goal that he would normally get 3 of them. He is creating opportunities.

TBH you could cut another 3 quite easily.

Think we should just go Hardwick Blanck DGB CJ Sicily Scrimshaw as our back 6.
Enough defence there and intercept ability.
Do not see a spot for Bramble unfortunately. VFL player with not an overly high ceiling.
Impey roll through HBF and wing from the pine.

CJ isn't a forward, doesn't have the footy IQ. Our midfielders would struggle to know where he is leading too. What makes people think his skills would suddenly get better playing a harder role??

He needs a spell. Can run fast straight lines but his skills are no good.

Did you watch the game - Bramble was better than Sicily, Frost, Impey and CJ today.

Thought Seamus, Long and Brockman were standouts when watching Box Hill today.
O’Sullivan and Denver did some nice things too.

Think we need to play DGB to develop him.

Denver in for CJ or Frost
Brockman in for Reeves
Long in for Finn

Meek and Kosi rotating in the ruck.

Don't mind these selections. But I would bring in Lynch because if Kosi gets injured we are another tall down.

We won't win this. I watched last night and they looked very good.

Either way he needs to swing the axe now. Two unacceptable losses in a row. You have to make a statement. Brockman, Morrison, Scrimshaw and probably Long come in. I'd also gift a kid like Rasmden a debut. Keep bringing em in.

They have improved have watched both their games .
They may very well beat us but both the Eagles and Freo were woeful and they won by less than a kick .

Improved yes , very good well juries still out on that .

They're in far better form than us. We're playing at a VFL standard at present.

Apparently Morrison and Scrimshaw both played a half for Box Hill today so they could be used as emergencies for the AFL game.

I'd say:
Morrison In > Out Maginness
Scrimshaw In > Out CJ
DGB In > Out Frost

If Reeves is injured Lynch comes in for him.

Tempted to drop Impey - Zero tackles for a defender is poor - Bring in Butler.

CJ either needs to play on the wing or dropped

Finn either needs to be a tagger or dropped.

Hardwick DGB Blanck
Scrimshaw Sicily Day
Morrison Worpel Amon
Moore Greene MacDonald
Breust Kosi Butler
Meek Duke Ward

MacKenzie Brockman Nash Finn
Long

That’s Reeves, CJ, Bramble, Frost and Impey all out which probably won’t happen, but I don’t mind the look of that team.
