2 trades aiming for minimum 28 green dots. I'll carry Owen a little longer coz he's rather handy right now, and if managed well he can make some points wrangling those expensive mid rooks on and off field. Huge Dixon already shaping up as this years permanent cloop with his dpp perfect to have in the pocket for after the rnd6 dpp's.

Still have 12 hours for my last chance at Gulden for 2 years. 415K mid in fwd line, and i believe he'll finish season as a better buy than Heeney from this point forward. Wont be buying him next year as a mid for 550 so next time possible would be when he's a proven SP. He's on a similar trajectory to Sam Walsh in terms of early scoring, maybe slightly ahead. Doesnt seem to get hurt and SC points look so easy and natural. Its now or not till 2024 minimum.
Just one of those times when maybe a tiny slice of club bias is not a problem to indulge. Only got Paddy from my mob, and he's warming the bench.

So... Have Berry but who is more important to have - Berry? Xerri? Rowell?

Decisions decisions decisions...
Rowell then Berry then Xerri. All relatively cheap so perhaps think points only as the tiebreaker...afterall its about maximising scoring points, not flipping players early for cash. Early SC points have the same value as points later on. Get the potential keepers in whenever possible.
Rowell 105, Berry 90, Xerri 85 is my guess.

I have no idea whatsoever why any owners would be dumping Berry right now. I've seen it a fair bit in here though.

Think I’ve done reasonably well with the rookies, not too many misses. Big misses appear to be in the mid prices who have started with a bang.

Thoughts on the trades below, which cost me $3k
Whitfield>Hewett
Hough>Brodie

Alternative could look at bringing in likes of Bowey or Ginnivan and really free up some cash to get another look at the best keeper options for early upgrades

Any other options to consider?!

Looking to trade one of Ridley/Whitfield to one of Hewett/Bowey. Oddly I'm actually thinking of trading Ridley - just suspect on his role. I feel like Whitfield is too good not to come good. Am I crazy?
You aint crazy, and none of us are psychic...so that gut feeling is usually best to follow. That way your season is YOUR season, and so often the better for it.
I wouldnt trade either of them. At the price Ridley (and Shitfield) is just fine to keep even if you have some doubts on his role. Certainly zero imperative to trade him now...all the keepers will fluctuate in price up and down over the journey. Their form changes. Their roles change. Injuries happen. etc. Whitfield will likely come good also unless he;s carrying a niggle...and that is precisely what shits us about Leon. We'd only find out after it has bitten us that he's been hampered.

Trade Chapman, bring in Bowey, but otherwise solid team!

I’m one that’s kept Berry for a while and if old mate Fages doesn’t use him as a tagger, he can easily get 100+

I think most think Whit will come good IF he’s not carrying an injury. That’s the concern that he’s injured though. It smells of Cripps/Neale last year.

I'd hold Hough a bit longer. One good game and we might find the world suddenly wants him on the bubble in a week or two.
You've got all the cash generation needed, could even sacrifice the lowest performing rook.
How about Gibcus > SDK (if named for 2nd game)
Then Chapman > Hewett/Young. 30-40K ish?? in kitty
i.e. Upgrade the D5 rather than dumping a keeper like Shitfield. Extra 25pts a week and still generating cash.

edit: OR Straight Gibcus > Bowie and get last rook off field in defs. Run Chapman/Bowie D5/6

Cripps will throw some low scores in. He still can't kick, and CD also hate him, and he won't kick 2, 3 or 4 goals every week. He'll also get niggles and be sore at stages. Though I still think he's close to a must-have and he'll average at least 110 for the season (will go closer to 120 imo).

Hewett is helping Cripps extract. He's helping with the dirty work. Why do you think Cripps metres gained has gone through the roof? Because Hewett is getting the hard balls and handballing to Crippa.

I just think Cripps and Kennedy will rest forward more, and Walsh and Cerra will start on wings more.
Nailed it.

A tick over 23,000 coaches have traded him in this week, which was to be expected after two massive games. He is now in over a third of teams.

One hard taskmaster wasn’t happy with his 147 average though and decided enough was enough by giving Paddy the flick - said coach has since moved on to licking batteries greener pastures looking for that perfect team.

Is he an evil genius? Or does he know something that 57,000 coaches don’t.

The plot thickens…

Who would you bring in 1st - Cripps or Heeney...

If you have a warchest
Cripps...Heeney looks good but as someone else already noted he generally does start the season well.
Also would be better to get Daicos off field than leave Martin on the bench.

After going Owens to JHF and Baldwin to Xerri I have one trade and 95k to go.
Any thoughts? Rowan Marshall as a POD paid off round 1 but not so much round 2 otherwise I have a fairly meat and taters teamView attachment 1359091
Nice team...if you have an itchy finger
Whitfield to Hall

I'm considering trading Berry to Caldwell, who I think will score better particularly with Essendons injuries

I'm going round in circles with trades...
Have $175,000 in kitty
Trying to work out if I need Stephens or Rachelle or Bowey or Ginnivan.
Kinda want to trade Gawn so I can bring Preuss off the bench this week.
Think there are better options tan Whitfield as his role seems suspect.
McLovin can go...
Like Caldwell, Hall and Green

Help required :)

Any suggestions with what to do??

Rowell...dont think he'll be given that tagging role again...just didn't work and was a waste of his talents.

Good looking side

I like Hough to Rachelle, because his DPP is invaluable
Whitfield to Hall

Pedlar scores 70 this week.
Am i buying him ? huh ? am i ? woduya reckon ? huh ? :p
U got him already ?
Yes I had Pedlar R1 as my DPP Loop ....understanding he'd play very soon

Would I bring him in now ? .....playing as a small fwd, in early games, is not conjusive to good scoring

I’m really torn weather to trade out Gawn or keep him for the long haul. Whitfield is the other one, but I think he needs to go. Would really like some advice PLEASE.

$48,300 in the shed

Options

Whitfield > Bowey (Leaves me $285,300)

Or

Whitfield > Docherty (Leaves me $17,900)

Or

Gawn > Heeney (Swing English to Ruck)

Whitfield > Lloyd/ Hall/ Rich

(Will leave me roughly $160,000).

Can you guys see any better options?

Nice :thumbsu:
He'll get some mid time for sure.

Timing is bad for the masses, so if he doesnt go large this week you might jag a sneaky but excellent POD Rook.
Hollands also getting closer to selection apparently.
