Dow has never played a game for us.
I don't know why people have such high expectations of him.
If he was that good Carlton would put him in their rotations, or chuck someone on a wing.

He played well against us last year. I would have him in ahead of Jones at the very least.

Playing as a half forward who thrown into the ruck is not really helping his development - he has that get ball , win ball mentality and should be given a good crack in the middle.
The game today was won once our mediocre midfield starting winning the ball.
He has the body strength to take his game to the next level playing as a mid.

Potentially a forward that competes in the air for the tough contested stuff, but kicks like a mule for goal, but the more I watch him compete at ground level the more I scoff at the suggestion he's a "midfield bull", looks all at sea around the ball at ground level.

The game goes for four qtrs and they redeemed themselves in the second half.

Sharman is attempting to fill in for Wood , to me Sharman is just filling gaps in the team and really needs to be given a role with out being thrown from the forward line to the wing and then to defense.

For crying out loud he ain't filling in for Wood, Wood is an athletic beast with immense agility and ability to compete strongly in the air and at ground level, Sharman is an arm flailing honest toiler who is currently being used by Lyon as a role player, your true negative, you have one job, don't stuff it up type.

I saw two 22s that had alot of kids and that backs it up.

However, Martin was huge early and Bolton nearly won them the game with shit no one else was capable of pulling off.

Bolton was BOG and Martin would have been in the top 3 at half time.

Remember, They beat Sydney last week. So when they are switched on. There good is great. They aren’t 4 quarter consistent and we got back into that off the back of a strict defensive game plan that we had to recommit too

Usually the way you tell is contested possession and he was the 4th in that category for us and was the 1st for first year players.

and usually you compete at ground level to win contested possession

and currently this year he is around the 50 mark and the only player who is not a mid to be averaging 9 or more contested possession's a game - he is a contested beast , to be playing him as a back up ruck man is a joke and it must be remembered he is only 20 and played 36 games.
