My concern is whether Mitch keeps throwing the magnets around Bevo style and Day could be back to 20% CBAs for a couple of weeks. Really like Day, like the current role but not sure I trust Mitch to leave it unchanged given he's essentially changed every mids role through the first 3 games

This is exactly why I'm jumping off Worpel. Mitchell threw him up into the forward pocket for large portions of the game. I wouldn't trust Day at all.

Because the only type of disposals that matter are effective disposals and his DE% is down, as well as his 1%ers.
Yes he's still a premo, and yes he's just out of form.
There's no reason to think he won't bounce back eventually. But when you start with 36 trades, how much average form do you tolerate?
Another average game and we'll be able to pick him up for less than $500k.
Having said all that, I think you still need a compelling proposition to justify selling Docherty, something useful to spend his salary on.
39 touches is out of form?

CD murdered Doc on the weekend.

A few of us here are adamant that if you start off with a few clangers at the beginning of the game that CD seem to mark you harshly for the remainder of the game.

I think it’s not worth getting chandler in anymore
He just needs to be assessed now as you would any other 200K rookie, so compare him to say CMac or Ashcroft

3 games with 2 x 90s and an 82 average plus a 90 rolling through for the next few weeks. Looks secure within the role and team and the Dees draw starts to open up.

Just need to assess whether that's good enough to trade in at 200K

Now that I've calmed down, as much as I want my gorgeous Piggy back in my team, I just don't think this is the week to do it, considering I'd need to field an extra rook in defence and Chesser, Constable, Cowan and Wilmot are all either shit, never to be seen again, or on the cusp of being dropped (some Brions fans want Wilmunt out), that probably wouldn't be a smart play.

The smartest move would probably be Worpel -> Chandler (aka Buzz Lightyear, aka Chindler's List), and Cameron -> StickMan4000.

Will make my move on Clarry via Setterfault when he maxes out, or whenever my next premo is goneskis. Clarry might be 800k by then with Melbourne's upcoming games lol

Those fans have NFI. Wilmot played well. Isn't getting dropped.

Going no where near Will Day. Already $400k, way too much to be speculating about someone who won't be a keeper. I swear last year people were going on about him getting mid-time or training with the mids and he went on to average like 60.

Welcome back Tommy Stewart

Although I will never forget those lying kents in the Geelong medical department

Phillipou > JVR

Phillipou is not playing as many mid minutes as I thought and I can't rely upon him to kick some goals each week to salvage his scoring.

24 effective disposals and 7 clangers, resulting in 7 turnovers. So basically he shanked one out of every 3 kicks. 0 tackles.

The week before: 17 effective disposals and 3 clangers. A mere 2 contested possessions. 0 tackles.

Round one: 19 effective disposals and 3 clangers. Again, only 2 contested possessions. 2 tackles.

You think this guy is in form?

Did you see the conditions on Saturday?

No one had clean disposal for the whole game.

If this is out of form it just shows you how much upside there is. You can trade him if you want but trust me you'll regret it when he just scores 140 the week after. There's a reason you picked him in the first place.

One of about 30 different scenarios I have in mind haha. Not really sold on any of them
My team have decided to stop chasing the sexy trendy favour of the week mid-pricers. We will go back to basics and focus on cash gen and conserving trades for upgrade season. No more trading for the sake of it. No more sideways trading uninjured premo's. We keep getting those trades wrong anyway, so time to stop doing them.

Need to replace DC this week so thinking DC/Callaghan to either

English/Witts and Rowston
Or
Grundy and Chandler

What do you think? Dee's have a good run so I think Chandler can still make another $150k.

I'm grabbing the Dees boys. Chandler has another $150k in him for sure.

Grundy will go huge this weekend against BJ Williams. Good start. Then he has Draper and Phillips, likely another big score.

Tough one. I agree Chandler is a good chance to hit 350k, but the issue with Grundy is that he's likely to need another trade in 3-4 weeks. He could just about match English in that timeframe with Melbourne's draw, but I suppose it's whether or not you have the capacity to use that extra trade.

With Rowston/Chandler, would you be fielding them? Because that's also a consideration.

On the flip side, Rowston's role looks good with Perryman out of the team.

And fully agree re midpricers. No more haha

To say ‘Bevo style’ might be a little unfair on Mitchell, given WB are meant to be contending and Hawthorn are pretty far from that. But your general point is fair. Anytime winning isn’t the primary concern for a team, experimenting and exposing guys to different roles is easier to sell. I’d imagine they’ll be some of that at hawthorn, though typically it’s the young fellas who benefit rather than sacrifice. They clearly like Day, and even if he does play some different roles at times, he is actually capable of scoring ok elsewhere

How long is Gawn out for?
This shaping like a Geelong special where they list him as deceased on the injury list and he pops out of s wedding cake on the weekend, yells 'surprise' and pumps out 362 points?
Grundy for 3 wks seems not viable, 6-ish maybe.
