Dont think they recruited him as a back up ruckman. Cant see him winning a tap against Witts but he might against Chol and even he has half a foot on Hayes.

As I said at the time, I think that’s definitely a big part of what they recruited him for, effectively the one who replaced McKernan.

Fully expect Hayes only to get limited time in the ruck but having him in the side just gives us another contested marker and a guy who can bust open packs.
If Marshall , Hayes and King start holding more contested marks watch out.

Would say Marshall has definetely more around the ground ability but I think their seasons so far are very comparable.
