Have to hand it to a dad sitting behind me last week. Told his kid of for calling the girl umpire shit. Kid said but she is. Dad said maybe but just say the umpires are shit. You can not just say the girl is shit. I thought she had a few that where confusing but it was not a lot worse than you see on any given day in any given game.

She gets singled out because it’s so obvious who’s making the call when it’s the female umpire, whereas when it’s a brown haired male umpire no one can tell

We are at home and yeah they are 3-1 but at home, we should be winning these games and have to win or our season is just about done. don't want any of this garbage we tried and it was a good loss etc that is bullshit and I am sick of hearing it year after year. It's about time we change things and start winning consistently..!!!

Won't happen this year. We've finally acknowledged the rebuild. We were the youngest side last weekend and we're the second youngest this weekend, as well as comfortably the least experienced side this week (by about 10 games).

Happy with the team named. The boys need to bring last weeks effort and intensity as the minimum base. Freo are definitely good enough to slap us if we are slightly off, but if we want it enough we will win.

There's some pretty horrid male umpires as well, so I think it's a bit rough to call her a token.

It's stupid that the umpires are part time. The AFL need to make them full time so they can spend their time focusing just on umpiring.
