Can't wait to go to the game! Haven't been to Wellington before.

I'd love to put Pyke at CHF but we'd lose too much in the ruck based on Mummy's form. Maybe make Pyke main ruck and Mummy CHF? White as back up maybe and Reid can have a little break (no Reserves game though so may affect his continuity)

Morton needs a full game, Rampe deserves to stay but I just don't know about Tony Armstrong. Really good story but still hasn't dazzled me. I want him to do well.

I would think Bird would be an in, he got his full game run. Heard he didn't dazzle but has enough credits to come back in straight away.

If you consider our selection history last year I really don't think another new player will come in but I do hope they blood one more that hasn't had a chance yet but has been "knocking on the door" through their reserves performance.

Out: Armstrong, LRT
In: Bird, White/Lamb/Dre

Upgrade Jake Lloyd for Harry Cunningham (was his injury season-ending?)

Birds lock down style would have been handy in the 3rd quarter on Friday night.
Agree with this. I feel like Bird is only out of the side due to a bit of bad luck and timing and he is a best 22 player. Armstrong needs an extended run to see if he has a future but unfortunately there is more upside in having Bird back in the side permanently. I'm just not seeing enough from Armstrong to suggest that even when he is settled that he will provide more to the team than Bird - albeit in obviously different roles.

Hey guys whats your serious thoughts on our backline if LRT is gone for season u need 3 talls down back otherwise u will get exsposed againsed the top 4 sides.Try sam reid down there he is quick but might get muscled out againsed the bigger fowards try tommy walsh he is 193cm 100kgs but doesnt read the play that well or jesse white 197cm over 100kgs i think it is a real big problem

Did grundy sleep with your missus? He is a premium defender

I don't think anyone genuinely thinks that Grundy can hold our defence together singlehandedly, not even you. Grundy relies a lot on help from Richards and one-two play with Teddy, if Teddy went down we would be ****ed.

If we keep losing key defenders we may have to give White or Walsh some time in defence. Who knows ? Many a struggling forward has launched a career from there.

I dont, but i dont think ted could either, we cant lose either both are vital

Ted would do a MUCH better job than Grundy. Ted could play with a defensive partnership with Everitt and hold his own.

Its kind of like the outskirts of Adelaide except on heroin with a bunch of hobbit holes and farmers hiding in the bushes around the sheep paddocks wearing gumboots and strange Velcro gloves, you will love it.

Actually it's a bloody beautiful place.

Hope you're not a nervous flyer though. Runway approach is a bit of a white-knuckle workout.

Can tell you havent been to Wellington in a hell of a long time.

Since the Lord of the Rings the Hobbit's have moved to mansions in the beach suburbs, the royalties from the film are earning them a mint.

With St Kilda's forward line being basically only 2 talls, can we really afford to drop Armstrong? Don't we need him for a Saad/Milera/TDL? If there was ever a week to have LRT down, then St Kilda is it, surely? Although i did read somewhere about Milne and Saad maybe being in some MRP trouble? Don't know for sure, didn't watch the game, but no Milne and Saad would make our lives easier.

Bird in for LRT is really the only change i'd want to see.
Parker sub (full game for Morton).

I really want to see Lamb and Walsh get a run soon, but can't see who's spot they'd take.

Lamb yes.
Walsh no.

I just have very little confidence in Walsh performing well for the seniors. I like the cut of Lamb's jib, and he'll grab his chance with both hands imo.

I don't know about Armstrong. His defensive efforts haven't impressed me much. I know he wasn't the only one who struggled on Friday, but the picture of chappy manhandling him off the ball to volley that first quarter goal
is glued to my brain. That goal should never have happened.

Rewatched the first half yesterday. JPK has had his knockers, but he was alright. We just have such lofty expectations of the guy, a quiet game gets interpreted as a poor game. (Gifted goal aside)

LMAO! Do you remember the last time everitt played in the backline or.. it didnt work out too well! hes showing good signs in the forward line so just leave him there.

Not sure we'll be playing the 4 smalls again, didn't work so well.

It's your midfield that worries me, we need a few guys to find some form.

He's commenting on the merits of Grundy and Ted, not Everitt. You could sub Everitt's name for any other on the list just about.
