The way I see it, Melbourne is playing better "wet weather football".

Keeping the pressure up, getting the ball on the boot, playing in front, and making the most of their opportunities when in front of goal.

Might need to re-gig the forward line, and remove a tall, as marking the ball above your head is proving very difficult tonight.

All I can say is... PLEASE GOD LET IT STOP RAINING.

Look, I think we will win regardless, was just hoping for it to be a bit more comfortable.

Forward structure was looking really good before it got wet with wilkes doing a lot of good work on and off the ball. Had we converted a few of those posters the heart would have gone out of melbourne and it would probably be curtains right now.

A lot of upside for the second half.
Goddard might touch it, somebody might hold a mark, someone might make a good decision. But yeah don't worry we'll win it by 20.

Pretty shithouse quarter that, clearly Melb came out and spanked us rotten as far as the contest went, to our credit though slowly but surely we edged it back out to somewhat level and back on terms though we still lost out that if that's consistently going to happen we're stuffed good and proper. A lot of lucky bounces in comparison to our players slip sliding away shows how utterly fragile some blokes are when it rains or is soft underfoot, really need to fix our stoppages asap though if we want to even get close to a comfortable sort of win or a win at all at this stage.

Drag Dal to the F50 & replace with Cripps was good move, better move would be to shove BJ forward if he's in a pissy mood instead of in the backline. Last thing we need is more halfarsed dual jumper punching drawing a free
