Quite interesting regarding team selection this week I reckon. I would like to see Long given a good run than assess after that. But the elephant in the room is Luke Dunstan. Got 11 touches against the pies which continues his disappointing start to the year. For an inside mid thats just not good enough. I understand he got a good number of pressure acts but you might expect inside mids to rack up a few more than other positions. It might also mean he is 2nd to the ball a lot. At some point something has to give and with a good replacement in Stevens waiting I think this week is the right time for change

Out: Armo(inj), Dunstan
In: Steven, Stevens

Today's result for the Cats makes next Sunday an even bigger event. As Hawkins has just put Geelong 86 points clear, the Cats sit 1st on the ladder now.

So just like Round 14 last year, we play the 1st placed Cats.

Looking like it's going to be a massive game.

Massive game. With Hawthorn the week after, a win would give us a great chance to go 4-2, from which we can build to finals.

Think Menegola will be out - considering he got 30-odd touches today that's a big loss for them. The sling looked bad.

Steven in will help. I have no doubt we can win this but we will have to do one thing that we haven't managed all season.

Kick straight!

Longs interview was obviously interesting he pretty much said yeah obviously was nervous wasnt confident at all obviously needed to get used to the environment and pace of the game obviously. Look out when he does, obviously.
EFA, obviously...

there's going to be a few cats missing! Danger heavy cork will also be playing sore. if we can hold a 4 quart effort, an upset could be brewing.

I'm licking my lips over this one.

Cats are a cocky bunch. Will walk into the game thinking its won and and will play Etihad's dimensions poorly again. Should have lost at the dome to the kangas (5 goal last quarter comeback) and dees (hogan, lewis suspensions and lost scoring shots).

If we can apply some pressure in the middle and Brown can curb Hawkins I like our chances

always nervous against the Cats but with a number missing they will have to field a potentially younger and inexperienced team. We get Stuv back which is a big plus too. Long or Dunstan might be the unlucky player to make way for him

All these potential outs could see a lot of media picking us to win... i hate that, rather us be the underdog but hopefully the boys learnt from rnd 1 and are ready

Looks like Geelong will be without Ruggles -injury , Blicavs injury, Menegola-reported,Parsons-reported and they will be on a 6 day turnaround.
Another tough game, however we should be far to quick for them, with Billings,Gresham,Weller,Acres, Long and our moblie big men Reiwoldt, Bruce, Membery and Hickey, my only concern is Dangerfield,Selwood and Motlop but hopefully Ross, Stevens, Steele ,Koby Stevens will control them I hope.
