Need more of the first quarter (except the last few minutes) and less of the second quarter in the second half. Dug a pretty deep hole and need the midfield to take some initiative to dig our way out.

I hope Clarkson leaves Wingers in the midfield for most of the second half instead of banishing him to the forward pocket. Ollie and Moore should be left in the forward line and asked to chase and harass every single Crow inside the forward 50 arc. Breust has barely had a touch so he needs to get busy.

As shockingly bad a defensive effort as that was, we have a half to go and we're only four goals off. If Clarko can give them rev up and get our defense sorted out it could be a good finish....provided that's our horror quarter for the day over with....*nervous.

We look a lot better when Moore, Harry and Ollie contribute, but even that wouldn't make up for getting 10 kicked on us in a quarter.

Can't believe it's only half time, long day at the office coming.

Or maybe the player calling for the ball wasn’t on and he went a Hail Mary move?

I wasn't criticising him actually. It's more a reflection on the lack of confidence in each other that you see with the top teams and what we ruled the roost with back in 2013-2015.

Because we have attempted to move the ball quickly, our team defence has been stretched out longer up and down the field. We haven’t had time to compress our players and our defenders simply haven’t had the urgency to push back hard and get goal side of their opponent. In past weeks we have moved the ball slowly which gives a heap of time for everyone to be in a good defensive position. Not this week. It is a good learning experience though it is painful to watch.

Well, there's this I suppose...

I cannot believe we have conceded 14 goals to this Crows side in a half of footy.

(I know they kicked straight outta their backsides, but the mistakes and lack of pressure is what gave them this chance)
New AFL record apparently, surely it can't last..

That quarter showed exactly what a tall forward line can do to our undersized defense. When you have Scrimshaw (a running halfback) having to mark the current Coleman Medal leader; you're going to have a bad time
Generally they have been okay this season, but today has been all at sea

Midfield was solid in the first and terrible in the second. Find ourselves some more clearances and we can get back into it

Kicking 9 goals in a half is a big improvement and a definite positive we can hang our hat on at least Unfortunately for us, the Crows haven't missed with plenty of soda goals

They start missing, or at least start having more difficult chances; and we continue or solid forward efficiency, who knows what the second half could be. Looks like it'll be a high scoring one in any case

A putrid quarter it's starting to become a common theme in games this year.

The Senior players and coach helpless to wrestle any momentum back or stop the bleeding in quarter. Unacceptable really.

The most frustrating part is that on any other day Adelaide would be 7.7 and we'd be in front. A team as bad as us just HAD to wait until today to start breaking records.

Not entirely sure about that. A lot of the shots on goal were from spits on the ground that a professional footballer should convert nine times out of 10.
