I'm curious as to why people are suggesting running types as a replacement for Pav if he doesn't get up.

We don't really have much other choice at the moment. The only KPP playing well at Peel is Alex Pearce. And I doubt we'd play him forward in his first game. We could put McPharlin forward and give Pearce a run back, but that seems unlikely. We could give Apeness a game but he's struggling at Peel.

We don't really have anybody to replace Pav, which is why we have been trying so hard in every off season to recruit someone.

Send in the Mammoth!

Reg has been strangely quiet on Danyle since the man has found some form :)
Surprise surprise, he's actually showing a bit of form. He still causes me to have conniptions on occasion during a game, but he's doing OK at the moment.

I gave him 2nd BOG one week.

If you don't have a realistic one-for-one replacement, sometimes you just bring in your next best player and shuffle the team around a bit.

Apeness for Pav as a direct replacement, or would we be better off with the Gu and a bit of a reshuffle. I think the Gu adds more to the team.

Fair enough, I would have thought Hannath might have gotten some love. He's been the Emergency a couple of times, looked good in the NAB and is a like for like helping us maintain our current forward structure. Plus, if we struggled forward of centre without a foil for Pav, I hate to think of what Tabs will be like.

I guess Mayne could play FF and bring Croz in to play HFF.

Zero.

Unless Pav and Walters don't come up in time. Adelaide set a precedence this season for playing Brodie Smith after he got completely creamed. Walters seemed in more trouble than Pav, but I wouldn't be too shocked to see both play.

If Walters misses then Croz. If Pav does too then give the Mammoth a run, or a wacky option could be Gu and shift things around, maybe Fyfe in a Pagan's paddock?

Emphasis on wacky though!

I just watched the replay. I loved maybe playing deep FF. Really agile and great hands. I think you may find Pav off maybe helped him get a bit of forward line form back. I back him to back it up

If Walters gets up then Mayne, Clarke, tabs and ballas ain't too shabby

Edit : oh and Croz for Pav. Nice

Yeah, not to shabby at all.

Not shabby but it still leaves us in a precarious situation.

Tabs is not ready to play as the main forward target, if he ever will be.

Clarke is not a noted goal kicker or a natural forward.

Mayne played well last week but could still be in a form slump.

Ballas - well you know... it could go either way.

Our midfield has to play well and kick goals. They can do this so I'm not too worried given it's also a home game and Essendon has not exactly set the world on fire this year.

I'm really concerned EFC will have a positive emotional spike this weekend; then disappear back into the weeds for another couple of weeks.

Watch out for the rudderless bombers.
