We won the KPIs though.

This is remarkable. Looking at the stats without the score, we look to be 40 point winners.

More contested possessions, 1/5 more inside 50s, 10 more clearances, even only 5 less tackles and 32 more disposals.

Where we fail comes down to polish. We don't have the class, our coaching staff hasn't developed the class required to capitalise during our momentum swings and we don't have the coach to strategically use that momentum to our advantage. We're poorly coached. Those stats show me the players can play.

Hunt wasnt too bad today. Was one of very few players who reliably hit a target today. Was one of the better users of theball.

We handball more than we kick prime example of players overthinking and a shit gameplan

I hope so.
A change of coach will be much more bearable than a rebuild.

Every other team has found us out. Flood all their players back and we can't score. We then fluff around with the ball and just bang it in long, either resulting in a turnover and subsequent goal to the other team.

Our midfield looks poor too. We get the odd clearance, but most seem to go to the other teams in the past few weeks.

Blood some of our youngsters. Problem is, they get one game and then gone. Would like Corey ELLIS to get a run of 5-6 games to settle into the side. Same with Lennon, McBean. They are our future. Put Menadue in the forward line and let him run riot with his pace...

Morris, Grigg, Gordon would be looking at a stint in the 2's.

Make a statement Dimma.... But he'll play safe mediocre selections...

This was the nail in the coffin.

I can't put my frustration into words, watching us handball in a triangle on the half back line until we turn it over under pressure and concede a score; watching us chip it sideways and backwards until we commit another costly mistake; watching Newman and Gordon and Grigg and Morris make the same mistakes which kill our morale.

We play gutless and directionless football, this is all on Hardwick who continues to persist with a horrific gameplan that has never got us anywhere and every week now has us supporters screaming for his head. He's had his chances, every week though we come out like a bunch of mentally ******ed *******s and embarrass ourselves again and it is on this all talk no action coach who has not only stalled but gone backwards.

Sack him now and put the kids who are shining in the 2nds in for the rest of the year so we can have some sort of best 22 to play hard accountable and direct football next year.
Just something to cheer for and not cringe over again and again would be nice.
I've never seen a team waste so much energy doing absolutely **** all with the footy.

We're a completely inept football and scared football club and we need to cut the rot out.
We have fine young list and our main playing group is capable and can be moulded again but our football department is cancerous, it needs to be addresses right now because we're wasting time.

You're gone Damien, you're the reason we are so pathetic right now and this club needs a fresh change of coach more than it has in the last 30 years because unlike before we're actually capable of being something yet you're crippling us by playing the favourites and persisting with a comical gameplan.
Unfortunately he had killed our list by at least ten to fifteen players with all the rabble he's giving contracts too
Benny's white flag before the sEason started for me bc our list hadn't improved and I heard spin Morris will play forward. I knew he was guessing again

Thinking about it, is the forward line the biggest problem. Unless it's a clean kick or mark (and with the pressure the midfield are under that's not happening a lot) is there a shot on goal, very rarely does the side lock it in and force a score.

Agree...that's because the club has not recruited any small crumbling forwards in years
We got rid of Nahas....Jake was good but injured constantly
WTF is it with the club...blind Freddy can see we need small crumbling forwards

Clone Sheds x2 and we'll be right

Yeah because that's worked for the past three and a half decades.
Play the bloody kids when they are ready. You know, like Hawthorn does.

They might be.... we've done nothing but played over-rated old hacks for 3 and a half decades.... let them all retire on their own terms.... If you think guys like Petterd, Grigg, Morris, Newman, Chaplin and Foley are the blokes to take us forward you need to get your hand off it. Play Lennon, play McDonough, play Vickery and Conca, play C.Ellis... all blokes taken in the first or second round.... add McBean, he is surely almost ready for a crack... it's been 3 years.... he won't dominate but he'll gain from it.

We've rarely been in a position like this when we can actually play kids and fast track their development.... last time was 2010/11.... and wow we improved...

Higgins, Thomas, Annoying Little Sh!t and even Nahas scored two or more goals.

Our small forwards? Edwards and Morris one each.

That's it. Right there. Small forwards neither score goals nor put adequate defensive pressure. Ball comes in - goes out, opposition scores on the rebound.

No crumbers, no space. None of our players really look like scoring from anything but a contested mark.

The scores came from turnovers much higher than our forward line today unfortunately.... More like middle or our half back.... deplorable today.... forward pressure was actually better for longer today....

Intensity was good in the first half, even though the skills were not. Not sure if it was a cease of intensity dropped so North over run the side, or North began to get on top so the players dropped off in intensity and North over ran the side. It almost needed Rance just to crunch Higgens (if memory serves) and force a bit of bargy and see if the Players could find a spark or not.

Contested possessions up.
Centre clearances up.
Stoppage clearances up.
Inside 50s up.
Overall possessions up.

The endeavour is there. But the game plan is a pig. Either the players are failing to take instruction or they are being instructed poorly.
Frankly we gifted North this game.
Our forward line cant capitalise on it. Only quality player up there is jack.

I think the intensity dropped off when it became apparent that we were going to just kick it to North blokes in the middle and let them score at will..... the error rate must be demoralising....

Agree on Morris, even though he is one who has a dip. But Edwards played a chunk in the guts and without him there the result would have been even worse.
