Positives:

Jack
Sheds
Milesy
Morris

Not sure about Morris... Did well to come back on after what looked like a game ending injury
10 possessions ( in the bottom 15% ) ...56 afl fantasy points
If you compare his game today to his very low base games this season... looks ok but really ordinary all round..meh fior mine

As a leader not good enough ...too many turnovers and dumb play

If you had have said would I accept a loss if Griffiths went down early and Newman weren't to play the second half then I would have easily accepted it but it's the manner of the defeat that is so disappointing. Like North scored 91 points of turnovers which is actually pretty impressive seeing as it takes some horribly skilled players to achieve that. Which although I blame Dimma for continually picking these players I don't see how it possible and why coaches (in all sports) and the structures they implement are blamed when players make horrible decisions and use the ball terribly. I know that whenever I commit a turnover that I blame myself and not someone else.

Anyhow time for the kids to get a chance and the good news out of this debacle of a season is we won't or shouldn't be making silly decisions when it comes to resigning some of these middle tier players who take up enough cap space to potentially restrict buying a stud.

team next week should be :
B: Batch Astbury Chaplin
HB: Houli Rance McIntosh
C: Ellis Cotchin Ellis
HF: Edwards Griff Delideo
F: Vickery Riewoldt Morris
R: Maric Martin Miles
Int: Hunt conca Vlaustuin Grimes

let vlaustuin go in the guts, play ellis more, try 3 big fwds mcintosh goes back to help with run out of defence

Higgins, Thomas, Annoying Little Sh!t and even Nahas scored two or more goals.

Our small forwards? Edwards and Morris one each.

That's it. Right there. Small forwards neither score goals nor put adequate defensive pressure. Ball comes in - goes out, opposition scores on the rebound.
Edwards was midfield today I think.
But agree with your point.

When did I blame them for this season? It's about going forward and improvement.... there is no improvement in those guys.

Actually, we would be improved as a side with both those blokes in. Petterd would provide a contest as a third forward and would provide pressure on the way out. No superstar I'll grant you, but would be better than at least two of the current incumbents.
And Foley has a brain and thinks. Which puts him ahead of a couple of our "glamour" midfielders.
I'd ditch two of the blokes you mentioned - not because of their age but because they don't provide nearly enough.

I'm on a seesaw. When the players play well the game plan looks great. So coach or players? The easy out is coach because that's one guy v a playing list. Thing is do you push the playing list or smother yourself in wonder that a new coach in his 1st year gives us a boost only to have the playing list let us down again in a 2nd/3rd year?

For mine it's the playing list. It's too easy to roll over and blame the coach.

Dimma can't take us to the next level dismisses the notion that the players won't lift in effort to the next level. Coach or player? I'd say player and we need to break the back of that.

For those wanting Dimma gone - well ok - but I still want to see him break this side. We aren't a bronco ride more the donkey's on the beach. If you wanted to put anything on the coach then it has to be in breaking the side.

The talent is there and I don't buy totally into the way the coach has us play as the problem. More often than not it comes down to effort and accuracy on goal.

Stats are good but finishing is not.

Seriously will a change in coach change all that much at the grass roots?

Perhaps Dimma isn't the guy who breaks backs but who is?

Ross Lyon maybe.

If this was season 3 or 4 for then we would have this debate (and many did at the time). However this is season 6, if it's not happening then either Hardwick can't or the Players won't for Hardwick. The answer to both is the same. It's time for a new voice.

Morris was absolute shit. Went to ground 2 times in the first quarter and handballed to teammates surrounded by North players and put them under the pump.
Rance was bad. Very bad.
Dusty made some absolute shit decisions, several of which resulted in goals.
Stupid kicks to no one or straight to the opposition.
Abysmal and just disgusting to watch. Just eff off Richmond.

It's the 40m+ kicks across the ground that he televises (and float kicks most times) that create turn overs that kill me. At least with the in short handpass stuff, teammates are sort of in position to defend the turnover.

I am really starting to doubt whether or not we'll draw out a superstar in Dusty.
****-all defensive running and chasing.
Turnovers galore.

In today's game we made so many turnovers that lead to scores it's ****ing sad.

The one that killed me was the one kicking outside defensive 50 and Higgins/Wood picked it off almost effortlessly and resulted in a Waite mark. The other one was the kick towards Hunt on the other side of the ground and Goldstein just picked it off and ran with it like a gazelle and boom chain of possessions and goal.

Ellis is really stariting to shit me with his cheapies
Which ones? Plenty to choose from.
Turned into a zero impact player this year.
