Yeah awesome. Leta play 3 talls. Its not getten run out of there easy enough now. We r putrid. I hate out players laughing at opposition when they kick a goal. Its not funny. You look stupid. I ask a question. Would rance play this week for roos or malthouse or eade if he did what he did when he cost us a goal and imitated whoever the player was. If softwick had any balls he would make a statement and drop him. Rance has had 3 poor weeks. Ultamatum time. Sign or piss off. U wanna be a smartarse then cya later showpony

IF we keep playing like this it's hard to see which team I would feel confident of us beating except maybe the QLD teams.

Absolutely no belief in the team. GWS, Saints, Dogs, cats- all better to watch. Our guys look like Smiths fans at a Britney concert.
Not a happy looking team.
Remember why Ivan said he came to Richmond?
The way we celebrated and played for each other. We looked happy.
WTF happened?

GWS are great to watch against the Hawks

3 jeers to the press who keep asking soft, easily-dodged questions about nothing at the post-game press conferences.
Maybe we need to set up a thread for them they can refer to after a game.

I've never seen a team waste so much energy doing absolutely **** all with the footy.
Yes, that's a pretty accurate summation of our style of footy.

Much like last week, 'confused' is how I'd describe the effort of the majority today. Stuck halfway between knowing how to take the game on and the rubbish Hardwick gameplan of retaining the ball and chipping it around keepings off style.

In the end you get what we've dished up in the last 2 weeks. Moments of dangerous footy interspersed with horrible skills and conceding avalanches of goals. :drunk:

Overcoached IMO. No one knows what the **** they are supposed to be doing.

Not playing football, they're just executing plans and meeting KPI's.

Our gamestyle is shit. Same as it has been since northey left. Always under pressure.. cant hit a 20 mt target walk round like we are awesome. Reality check needed. Name or no name. Perform or piss off. We headhunted all these so called senior players to add depth. They clog our list. Hampson... finished. Thomas.. finished .. pettard... finished.. knights... finished .. hunt.. not up to it in an average team. Grigg chaplin and even houli are plodders. Houli u may say is harsh. He is apparently a great kick. I see a slow high kick 80 percent of the time. His stats look great but his influence on games is bugger all unless we are smashing our opponent. Even poor old ivan is struggling. Not to mention the tried n tested players we have already cut. Another rebuild. Another 5 to 7 years. Another lot of crap excuses. Another decade of my life just hoping. Cant wait for the next brains trust. Just hope they have some balls to not give us all this bs spin. Over it bigtime

Even Morrissey would tell the players to cheer up a bit.

It seems like RFC has been in a constant rebuild since Rioli, Weightman, Lee stopped playing. We have been in the top half of the table a handful of times since the 80's. We are always middle at best or in the basement. Chronic ongoing failure syndrome. Has any other team been like this for so long? Into our 4th decade of ineptitude and poor performances.

The last two years may have been as good as it could be for RFC until the 2020s. Bugger it. Just so incredibly ridiculous.

The thing is if we merged with Brisbane and Carlton right now we still wouldn't be able to field a team any better than what we already have. Going to either be a serious mental switch that gets things going or a whole other group of people that aren't at the club now.

Losing this often for this long is ridiculous.

Despite being one of the better Richmond players on the day, midfielder Dustin Martin was singled out by Hardwick for twice conceding possession and goals to the Kangaroos.

"Dustin Martin did some really good things, gets two balls and kicks them across goals, too long a switch, ball gets shut down and our defenders can't defend that. It just goes straight through the sticks, you might as well line up at the centre bounce," Hardwick said.

"It's not what we ask him to do, it's not what he normally does, and unfortunately if you don't play the team structure you get kicked in the backside."

Hardwicks comments in the presser post game above contradict the following from Deledio during the week

“But ‘Dimma’ (coach Damien Hardwick) has always said to us, and he re-emphasised it, this past week, that ‘if you make a mistake, boys, that’s okay . . . I’ll go off if you don’t have a crack at it’.

No wonder the players seem confused about what they should be doing.

We are too predictable... opposition are ready for our chip, chip, give style game plan

Opposition coaches study our game plan and implement changes.

Softwick thinks we are a top four team so we dont need to change our game plan.

Reality is we are not a top four team and our game plan is too Predictable!!!

out: Hunt (his best is in the 22 - but has he dropped off....can't run?), Newman (hopefully for good)
in: McDonough, Arnot

Sorry for double post but watching the Tigers is like watching someone playing the same video game week in and week out year in and year out where they are always confounded and stunned by the first level of play over and over again as if it is the first time they have played the bloody game. They keep making the exact same mistakes until they die and have to restart where they do the exact silly, unbelievable stuff all over again.

I mean how many weeks of playing under pressure and turning the ball over do you need until you start to adjust to the pressure and develop competency?

Actually, we would be improved as a side with both those blokes in. Petterd would provide a contest as a third forward and would provide pressure on the way out. No superstar I'll grant you, but would be better than at least two of the current incumbents.
And Foley has a brain and thinks. Which puts him ahead of a couple of our "glamour" midfielders.
I'd ditch two of the blokes you mentioned - not because of their age but because they don't provide nearly enough.

No no no.... They won't help us in 2016 or 2017 or 2018.... delist/trade. I'd keep Foley on the list if push came to shove.... but I would only play him if we were had that many injuries we had no choice. He was a gun in 2007, out and out gun he was but that was a lifetime ago, a career ago. He will never get anywhere near that form ever again unfortunately....

Petterd well, just no. How he made the AFL with a ball drop like that is beyond me. The sad thing is that he has the rest of the tools. He is brave, he is hard at it, he can follow instructions.... but he just lacks skill.... Cut it off now (end of season) and get a kid....
