I’ve had a play around and there’s so many trade options that I could go with.

Minge & JHF > Rosas & any player that’s $564k.

Pruess is also an option at R3 with the additional dpp allowing me to move players around but I’d lose the ruck/fwd link.

Would love to hear your thoughts based on my current team.

Rosas is coming in so that's already done as the first trade
Thinking Ward out, Martin to the mids, Dixon forward and bring in Preuss
Seeing a lot of people swinging Martin to the mids. I’m not comfortable with it as he’s a reliable onfield option at F5/6 for a lot of people. Not sure I’d want to be relying on rookie roulette with Durdin, Rosas, Dixon and Hayes (Ryder returning) types.

7,116 coaches have traded out a guy prior to his 53 on the weekend, Grundy's ave was 109.75. Only Gawn (ave 117.4) & English (avg 121.6) have higher averages than that currently. Grundy was up there with the top rucks. Food for thought maybe before letting him go and he’s up against my useless mob. 🔴⚫

It’s not just the form, it’s the cash gen in the ruck that is too good to pass on. I want Preuss and I’m probably gonna get Hayes too because he’ll play 10-12 weeks as Port’s ruck. Grundy can make way whilst they make lots of cash, and then when round 12 comes and the Giants and Power have the bye, they’ll likely be mooing and I can find myself the best R2, whether that’s getting Grundy back or opting for someone else.

By trading Grundy to Preuss this week (Preuss has proven he can match Grundy for scoring, or at least come within 20 points), I get enough to upgrade a rookie to an premo mid, and upgrade one of my underperforming mid pricers to a safe premo

Yeah, i'll get Preuss this week and chuck him on the pine at R3.

Next week Wittsy should have made 150k and be up around the 515k mark (arguably keeper material so it'll be sad to see him go)

Will probably downgrade Wittsy to Hayes pocket 390k, chuck Preuss on field as R2 in his place until the byes and then flip him to bearded flog Gawn.

Even though i quite like my rotating structure of Wittsy, English, Xerri, J.Hayes, Dixon.... i feel like the cash grab for Preuss, and then Hayes is too good to pass up on.

It'd actually work out quite well if Leon didn't name Preuss this week and backed in Flynn for another stint 😉

Give people some more time for cash gen.

Luke McDonald interest anyone?

Hall out for a month or so, Ziebell forward, he did excel in the Hall role back half of 2020. Very nice price @ $370K. 🤔
No ....it's speculating a players future scoring capacity ....it's what has got me into trouble every season

I think this whole thing is exposing some flaws in CD’s algorithms. I’m absolutely loading up on rucks because even an underperforming lunchbox - provided he’s 6’7 - will be involved in the play, and might fall ass-backwards into an 80+ score. Whether he has the faintest impact on the result or not. Meanwhile big forwards can kick 5 and not get near a ton.

Trac v Mills v Titch gonna keep me up all week

I feel strangely compelled to get on Mills as he just might be the POD to power me from mediocre to upper-middle-mediocre. He seems to get 115s like shelling peas.

Too many questions marks on Titch's role for mine. Like Mills as a POD, and Trac cops a tag more than the other two. That being said, he'll punch out his 150s and 160s on weeks he gets off the chain.

In that price range, I'd prefer Parish to Titch too.

Long time lurker - Time to get involved!

JHF - Rosas
Rowell - Zorko
Sh*tfield - Pendles
Someone whose first post wasn't a huge round score?! It feels like the twilight zone.

IMO
Goals don't score enough points.
Its like CD are expecting multiple forwards to kick 100 goals like it is the 90s again.
I look at guys like Charlie Cameron and Harry Mckay. Blind fredy would know they are premos.
CD beg to differ.
I'm fine with how all other lines are scored.
Kick outs are a bit of a rort but maybe that is because clubs put more damaging players on kick out duty.

Yeh, very true. It’s always going to be a statistical model aiming to approximate real world value/impact, but I think they’re noticeably off the mark at the moment.

I think they’re maybe a tad too harsh on clangers, and not able to adequately model with stats a clear contested ball loss through cowardice like, say, Zac Williams might specialise in.

Of course, understanding the scoring is the game for us, but it still grates when guys trying stuff to impact the game get 50 and utter passengers behind the ball punch out 80s.

Im 100% getting Hayes next week for r3 so Grundy goes this week before he drops cash.
You only lose money, if you sell .....Grundy will respond, and reward his loyal followers
