Tend to agree, Long, Kent, Marsh. In Sinclair - 7 times an emergency, potentially Byrnes and maybe Webster/Savage. Ryder a possible as a chop out for Marshall...we needed that last week.
If Sincs gets in before Byrnes i will spew , we know what Sincs can do and thats not going to make us any better

I hope we have a better go at holding marks in the next game- it was fine and sunny in the Freo game, yet we couldn't seem to grab the ball..butterfingers everywhere.

You'd think if Byrnes was in there'd be a story or announcement today.

Marsh's problem is he doesn't really have a best position. Not a natural forward, not a midfielder. And we have plenty of mid-larger sized defenders.

Marsh out - Battle into his role, probably Hind in.
Long out - Geary into the backline, Gresham/Billings more forward time, Byrnes into the midfield.
I'd also look long at Kent, with Sinclair in for him (yes, he's a known quantity, but much of it is pretty good).

I just don't think there's any chance we drop Ross or Hill (not a comment on whether they should be dropped, just what I think will happen).

They are going to have to bring in players due to 4 day breaks as well as form.
So I fully expect the squad to get a full work out
Webster
Byrne
Sinclair
Ryder
Savage
Bytel
Hind
Roberton
Parker
Austin
Abbott

The teams aren’t finalised till I think Saturday, because we are a Monday game.
But yeah you’d think there would be a post

Haven’t you seen the site just now ? Long out Brainstrust66 in . Omg we are going to lose by 50 goals lol

Would love Bytel to get a game so we can have a look at him , plus he has been playing well . I think they shouldn’t risk Hanners given he is coming back from a hammy plus my injury curse is on him , give him another week .
I wonder if Webster will come in for Long or will Paton do the job .
Anyone have any idea on how Langlands has been performing, I like the look of him .

Btw why was Long murdered by the match review panel , he bumped the guy , yes the guy was concussed but that was because he was going to ground anyway . I thought there was nothing Long could do once he decided to bump him , it happens all the time . Three weeks seems a bit harsh especially when in other cases people get one or two weeks for a deliberate strike .

Everyone needs to put together a side of the best Saints players you have ever seen . No restrictions, don’t have to worry about team balance, but try to have players in the spot where they played as much as possible.
Remember, you can only pick players who you have seen play for the Saints live . So if you never saw Plugger play for the Saints then you can’t pick him .
Send your teams to me when you are done and I will read them out on the next podcast next week .
Just a bit of fun but it will be interesting to see teams from old guys like me and younger guys that are on here too .

Could there be a forward line of Plugger , Loewe , G-Train , Reiwoldt, Hamill and Milne , interesting thought lol. With Plugger G-train and Hamill we might not win ever game but we will win every fight , especially if you have Barry Hall on the bench lol.

This football club has beaten me......
Everyone has a breaking point. I'm nearly there

Been there a couple of years ago, even went out and burnt my St Kilda scarf after another horrible loss, told my wife never again, I’ve had ‘em. Well here I still am & as that old adage says “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” well it definitely applies to me...unfortunately.

Strange question when in the past you have seen him at your ground in the wet smash you guys. Steven always got a tag against cats. He was our star player and you pinched him for a bag of peanuts. Lucky you but no luv for the pussies from me
What a strange way to react. Not sure his question warrants that reply. Steven at most played 2 or 3 games at Geelong...and there doesn't seem to be any evidence that he smashed them in the wet.

We probably won't get a great idea of the selection changes tonight as I think us and Adelaide are only naming squads of 26 but hopefully Ross and Hill are at least named on the extended bench just to make them sweat a little and send a message that they are on thin ice. I doubt they will actually be dropped.

It was a cold day at North Hobart oval and a Young Alistair Lynch was the Fitzroy full back on the mighty plugger. Late in the game he crashed the pack from the 50/40m arc, picked the ball up off the ground and snapped it through the middle to kick his 7th. I yelled Tony Locket you are a star!
Made going to the footy a special part of life!
