When the teams are announced tonight, I want to see those being dropped for poor performance to be listed as omitted, not merely listed within the larger squad that’s available for selection.
If Ratten is serious about dropping guys, he’ll make it clear from the first teams announcement tonight. There’s no point keeping them in the squad until Saturday or whenever they’re finalized.
It’s time to send a message to the list.

That the inside word?
All the best stuff comes out inside 😉

As much as it would be great to have his experience on field, I agree. Look what happened when he came back after injury against Carlton, went down just before half time with this injury. Short turn around for games coming up, better to be cautious now and have the longer break to recover and play against Port.
Use him as a coach. Put him on the bench to replace Roughy in the meantime.

The old joffaboy would have laughed at my post and even 'liked' it. I hope he comes back after a couple of good wins.

Saints to beat the camry cows by 40 and joffa to crack a smile :)
This football club has beaten me......

Any predictions on changes?
Hoping for one of the B boys, in all likelihood Byrnes gets first bit.
Savage or Webster for Long? My guess is Jimmy.
Will Hill and Ross hold their places? My guess is yes and the melts will follow but will be shortly lived when we get our first win at AO.
Not sure Zac is 100% as well

Good morning, anyone tell me how Jack Steven goes in the wet please,You should murder the Crows Monday and good luck for the remainder of the season thanks in advance.
Strange question when in the past you have seen him at your ground in the wet smash you guys. Steven always got a tag against cats. He was our star player and you pinched him for a bag of peanuts. Lucky you but no luv for the pussies from me

Based off Lethleans comments on 360, Id expect Hill and Ross to get one more chance.
And if they dont perform this week, then they will be dropped.

Oustide of Long, the other definite out is Marsh.

There's a case for quite a few other to either be dropped or keep their place.
Yeah, I was open to the Marsh trial but it hasn't quite worked. We can give Battle a clear role now as the third tall forward and give him some consistency hopefully. I think he's done pretty well in a tough role getting thrown around, but I think it's better for him to have a clear position.

The fact that we are even considering rushing Hanna's back highlights our monumental leadership void and also hints that possibly Gears and or Ross will get the flick over the next couple of games!

We seriously need to develop some leaders from our younger group and fast for this team to fulfill its promise over the next season or two!

Yeah definitely hope we don't rush Hanners back. As Diehard said, would be awesome to have him down on the bench - Myb even Robbo as well.

I think one of Lonie or Kent is in trouble as well.

Sinclair, Byrnes and Savage has been the first three listed from Ratts/Lethers in their interviews this week and all would make sense as replacements for those listed above.

Savage for Long
Sinclair for Lonie/Kent as that high half forward type.
Byrnes for Marsh since Ratts has been running him through the middle. Means Battle stays forward more and Byrnes takes the midfield time from both of them.

Also feels like Ryder is a possibility to come in.

Ratts comment made it sound like Hanners was pushing to be ready but we didnt want to rush him back in. Even mentioned the possibility of leaving him until the game after Port.

Yeah the talk about him coming back this week seems to have been a bit exaggerated. As you say, sounded more likely that it's next week or the following week even.

Tend to agree, Long, Kent, Marsh. In Sinclair - 7 times an emergency, potentially Byrnes and maybe Webster/Savage. Ryder a possible as a chop out for Marshall...we needed that last week.
