Watched their games last couple of weeks (against Rich & GC).

One of those 23.6 touches almost hit a target too!
He has been fantastic. You can find fault if that’s your bent but we should taken him. Exactly what we need now. We were never taking degoey but we should have taken petracca. It was obvious even back then the midfield lacked and we also didn’t have a medium forward.

I think what really hurts is at the time most people could see that Petracca was the right choice. I remember hearing on the radio the day of the draft that we were going to take McCartin and feeling really bad about it.

The recruiters stuck their necks out but in that case got is so, so wrong. And to this day we are still crying out for a midfield bull. That's actually what hurts the most.

Lonie has to be out before Kent is
Not sure how you come to that conclusion. Kent was dropped already and since he has been back lonie matches or beats him in most stats. And to me adds more but that could be biased. All I know is the facts of stats and one has been seen not to be good enough previously

I have no idea of the stats but watching the games, Kent seems occasionally dangerous and Lonie very rarely. Neither are great and one of them needs to go

The obvious number one pick isn't going badly either. 23.6 disposals (10.8 contested), 2.8 clearances, 4.4 marks, 3 tackles and a goal a game (in shortened quarters) would be handy
Its just a little embarassing. Clearly the best player of the draft. So what do we do take an undersized slow full forward with concrete hands.

Like I said I see it the other way that’s why I’m going on what has happened this year.
Just looked at their comparisons this year and Kent is slightly ahead which backs up the view when watching on TV. Having said that both of them are pretty poor so one of them should go.

I disagree. Kent has been improved the 2 weeks prior, but his other games have stunk. Still struggles in front of goals and ball use isn’t what we recruited him for.

Lonie hasn’t been great but far from awful. Wasn’t impressed with his tap on to the corridor late in the game that resulted into Freo kicking the winning goal. Outside of that he had his hand in a couple of goals and kicked one himself. Pressure was good.

We're splitting hairs with Lonie and Kent. Neither are great, both are capable of having good days. Kent's kicked 4 in 3 since returning. Lonie has kicked 3 in those games. Lonie wins a touch more footy. Kent has more pace, Lonie is less prone to shocking clangers.

If there was only room for one, I'd pick Lonie, mainly due to his age. At 23 he could still become a more consistent small forward.

I think you will find lonie is ahead in most departments since Kent came back. What lonie or kent did before that is irrelevant as they decided lonie was better than kent previously. Not much in it but kent is surely gone before lonie again based on previously.
