Nice to head into a game against the wooden spooners with absolutely zero confidence of a win.
In fact, we're odds on to play them back into form, and l don't even care anymore.

If crashing and burning, embarrassing themselves again facilitates new growth, then I'm all for it.
Bring the blowtorch please Adelaide. As hot as you can get it.
Crows by 37..

Free should have won by 10 goals but kept missing sitters. We will get done IMO. Adelaide beat us in a canter.

In: Robbo, Sav, Webster, Ryder, Hind and Sinclair

Out: Long, Coffield, Paton, Marsh, Kent, Marshall (suspended/dropped)

Above names are obvious and Marshall because today, embarrassing, undisciplined, was getting dominated by Sean Darcy then had a perfect opportunity and still stuffed it up.

Hilarious once again. How many in the team of the week.

We're crying out for two quality mids, and we have two potentials yet to play a game. Their ceiling is high, whereas the ceiling of a few veterans is coming crashing down right now. Make the change Ratts. We lacked leadership with Ross and Geary in, we won't lack any more without them playing. I would rather be playing the guys in form with higher ceilings thank you. Do it Ratts.

Can’t wait to see what Reilly O’Brien tweets this week.
few players need a good kick up the ass.
Crows will be no easy beats. With Sloane Crouch x2 laird and Smith running around. Wonder what hack we will make look like a star this week.
So sick of giving up big leads and not being able to stop a run on.
Crows by 15
Marshall made sean darcy look like garry dempsey. So i will go obrien to slaghter us.

One is enough. Bringing in 2 at once is overkill.

Stewart loves Bytel but for me Byrnes is my boy

Not really, bit of a cop out. Plenty of successful teams have proved otherwise. If they are good to go get them in. Byrnes and Bytel could be better than Ross and Geary by years end... they could well be the better options THIS week too.

Bytel isn’t in form. Not fair on bringing him in if he is struggling. Not many successful sides blood 2 mids half way through a season. Geary is not going to be dropped. Ross May but I reckon he gets another week. Play Byrnes. He is in form.

Bytel is a funny one. He's been mentioned a few times in the scratches, always second to Byrnes. However he still sounds more in form than anyone else bar Byrnes. Geary is terribly out of form, and Ross has been poor for weeks. No man should have a free license on a spot. Ratts has said himself about becoming a pattern, the pattern is there with Geary and Ross. Port are reaping the rewards now from playing the high ceiling youth last year. Byrnes and Bytel won't get much more out of dodgy scratch matches. But yeah Byrnes is a must this week... hopefully all goes well at this weekends scratch match.

Will there be a scratch match this weekend? Haven't seen much on it

Difference is when Port's three young first round picks from last year had a big senior core in the midfield and up forward to play alongside them.

We are currently fielding the most inexperienced team in the comp and you want to put two debutants in an already weak midfield.

Yep. We gain nothing from gifting games to players only because they're old. Every bloody week we cry about our midfield, and we have two potential A graders waiting and in as good a form as they can be from scratch matches. There are players taking us forward, players jogging on the spot, and players pulling us down. Geary and Ross are fails this year, and they are gifted games. They aren't in form and are pulling the team down because their age apparently justifies they are allowed to find form in the firsts?? No thanks.

Where has this 'two potential A graders' come from?

Have you ever actually seen either of them play a game of football?

not denying that if their form warrants it, they should be played. but stop over hyping kids off the back of absolutely nothing. they are two potential midfielders and nothing more right now.

OK. We have two in form and needed midfielders ready to replace two horribly out of form players. They can find form in the scratch matches just like the others.

We have one in form midfielder and another who has been just fine to potentially replace Ross (dont see it happening over others) and our small defender/lock down forward Captain who was great against Carlton?

If Ratten makes some changes it will most probably be Marsh , Long and maybe Lonie - in Sinclair , Byrnes and ?.

I would like to drop Geary and bring in Webster

Still not sure bytel is in form Byrnes is

Last week, "Draftee Ryan Byrnes has ramped up his charge towards senior selection with another best-on-ground performance in Friday’s scratch match against Carlton." "Byrnes was joined by Jack Bytel in racking up the clearance numbers"

Two weeks ago, "Byrnes, Bytel shine at Punt Rd" "Young midfielders Ryan Byrnes and Jack Bytel have put their hands up for senior selection after both were shining lights in the Saints’ practice match at Punt Rd."

Obviously these reports are all to go by. But they sound fine.

The captain said some of the write ups are rubbish. He has watched at least 2 games. I’m going by him.

He wasn't great. He had six touches. Yes he kicked two goals but that isn't his week to week role. He's failing his usual role. He's not leading. If the coach wants to play him forward once or twice a year then sure bring him in for that. But we have better options for his usual role at the moment. Ross and Geary have been poor by their own standards. If they keep playing then that's clearly gifting games to play them into form in the firsts. It's a terrible example to the rest of the list.
