Mmmm, what to do this week  .......Sicily back, but Walters & Greene out ? ......i made mistakes last season of believing clubs, who said player "A" will be out for 4 weeks .....then a week later, he's playingo_O .......so i'm holding both players till i have a clearer picture of how long they'll be out

So the plan is to bring a premo in, and also focus on cash generation ......i'm doing this because again, last year i never had $$$ in the bank ....preferring to spend all on players immediately to fill my side ASAP ......my season resolution, was to be more patient & focus more on $$$$ generation

With this in mind, what i've done is:

1. Garlett to Dangerfield .......Mids are basically full, if i'm happy with Kelly at M8

2. Murray to Cole .......Murray ave 76, Cole ave 82 ......generates $150K for my bank

So yes, i'm stuck with Walters / Greene on my bench for another week, but next week i'll upgrade Walters

What's Coaches Thoughts ?
Walters to Danger. Garlett Forward.
Looks like a grade 1 PCL for Walters which means 4 weeks

High risk, high reward. This is the lineup I keep going back to so I'll trust my gut here.

Billings > Spargo
Banfield > Macrae

MID's are full at this point, I might trade Danger in later depending on form.

1 UP, 1 DOWN for the next several weeks if there are good enough rookies.

Hopefully Piggerd regains his forms so I can bring him in for cheap in the backline next week.

Is it worth blowing 2 trades for an extra 30 points a week? Not the kind to trade aggressively so it feels a bit weird however a lot of people do it - mainly out of rage. Is there any strategic merit for it?
You appear to have answered your own question. Twice. :flushed::flushed:

Thinking Bonner to either Howe or Sicily for my first trade.
I've also got to trade Walters and thinking either Sicily or Boak could be good options at the same price.
Any Port fans that can allude to Boaks role? Has averaged 90s every year except least year which will do as a forward, especially this year.

Option 1. Howe and Sicily
Option 2. Howe and Boak
Option 3. Sicily and Boak
Option 4. Sicily and Deledio (can't afford Deledio and Howe).
Option 5. SP Hurn and any campaigner down forward that I can afford
Sicily and none if your other options.

Boak won’t finish top 8.
Deledio won’t last all season, will be out injured
Hurn won’t keep up current scoring

I can’t believe I’m saying this but after the rage subsided, I’m thinking of holding Billings. Could just do the one trade and bring in Duman for a campaigner rookie like Barry, Richards or Coff. Also, is Sauce Jacobs going to come good anytime soon? Could boot him instead
Barry and Richard's BEs are still quite low, while Coffield's (54) is pretty close to his average (57) due to that horrendous 24, so he'd be the one for mine, particularly if he gets dropped. I'm backing him in to go better though, after the fiasco that was playing him inside. Who knows with Richo though, might chuck him forward just for the lulz.

Not a bad side there mate. Took me a while to work out what your side was because of your bench, but impressive.

Cheers Jiska

Pretty happy with it too.

Made a couple of bad VC/C choices and rookie on ground decisions.

Worked out that I would be in the top 10 if I hadn't stuffed all those things up!

Oh well 65 overall is nothing to sneeze at and plenty of time to get back up to where I was in the top 20 again. :D:thumbsu:

Thoughts on my MID / FWD
(BONT & BANFIELD OUT to get PHILLIPS & TARANTO)
Bench is standard rookies.

A lot of love for Zerrett and the price is nice, but isn't there the concern that he will receive more attention again and produce lower scores (meaning potentially a way off top 8-10 mids from here on in)?

Is Duman holding a spot warm for anyone to come back to in Defense? It seems that Freo has a lot of Rooks in the side at the moment and they're staying for extended periods. Any more and they'll start to resemble Gold Coast and GWS when they first started. Crowden, Cerra, Brayshaw, Banfield and now Duman.
It seems like that, but they've had a massive list turnover the last two years

No more Ibbotson, Duffield, Dawson, Suban, Crozier, Collins etc down back

Plenty of spots up for grabs for whoever wants to take it I reckon
