Man you two are like those guys in grumpy old men.
This board gets very stale when we win so much. Can you imagine 10 years ago whinging about how crap we are playing after winning a flag and starting 7 - 0? Nothing wrong with wanting more but let's have a little reality check eh?

oh I stand corrected then. I'm not looking for people to agree. its a forum. I don't mind if my opinion is unpopular. I'm sure the players aren't content with their level of player despite the wins.

Being content is the first step towards the empire coming crashing down. 7-0 is no time to think youre suddenly Bertie big bollocks as John Sitton would say.

reality check is: we're 7-0 but we havent played anyone in the top 8 yet. We're not playing our best footy but i'd like us to turn things around soon, especially before round 11 which is when our opposition gets much tougher. When we play even 80% of our best we'll beat anyone. That's all i want. i don't think it's being overly negative.

Youre not, youre being realistic. Ill be more impressed if we finish the season with a 7 game win streak than if we start with one. Lot of water to go under the bridge yet.

I do think we'll win this weekend but $3.40 are incredibly generous odds for the Saints who have been impressive this year.

Teams always give us their best, we have to maintain the rage every week

Understand Rivers has been poor but no point dropping him given the raft of changes we'll already be making with COVID protocols etc.

With Salem out and Hibberd unknown he doesn't have a direct replacement anyway. Just make the changes we need to and back him to find some form.
I think he will come good once we can settle our backline down. For the moment keep him in.

I just don't know if that is possible. It seems to be more of a grind and whoever comes good at the finals.

Secure first again and head into finals with form needs to be the main goal. Everything else isnt really that important.

Was just highlighting the fact teams won't roll over, want to take down the big dog. No easy games as we found out last year.

Top 2 the main thing. Likely the other top 4 will all be interstate sides.

Infect the entire club now to gain immunity for the rest of the season. Raid boss Goody does it again.
Unfortunately the 12 week rule doesn’t mean this works, ideal timing is about Rd15

Useless Selwyn strikes again!
Tell you what can you imagine the controversy if a club facilitated a COVID outbreak just to be cherry ripe?

Totally agree. There was totally a feeling of WTF around me in the crowd when this happened. No upside to his actions, only potential downside ... drop the mark, or not take the mark with one touch and it has cost a goal.

There was no Hawks player within a bull's roar so no possiblity of the ball being touched. Nor was there any possibiity of the ball bouncing back before the line. The ball would have sailed through at head height.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned TMac's shepherding of Sparrow's kick/goal in the GF. Now THAT was great/team first.
I was sitting right near the goals and thought there was a chance it could have dropped short and bounced back. It floated a bit. Bit more positional awareness and talk from Weid nearby might have helped but I wasn't mad. If there was no chance of it dropping short I dunno how he is taking a chest mark.

That's cause you're a pinhead like the other barnacles on here who got it wrong. It's close as **** to the line, it's a chestmark and Sicily is right there if it bounces back in.
This stuff shits me to no end. People don't like Tmac so invent shit to hate him. You'd be a ****ing dumb campaigner to let this bounce.

i mean it actually wouldn't have bounced before crossing the line but ok

Yeah cause watching it on tv is the same as facing away from the line as it happens. Not even at all surprised you wouldn't understand that.

well i mean when you're standing on the line and take the ball at head height it's pretty obvious
