A bit late for thatI didn't want to embarrass myself by blowing bubbles up his bum for a very average game where he collected a few cheap stats against an ammo side but I was happy for his fanclub to celebrate his game. Ironically he was also dropped last year after 2 games against North and the Crows. He just isn't up to AFL standard unfortunately.
Had a ton of fumbles against the Pies, I said in the first quarter it seemed like a record number of smothers and I reckon that may have been true by the end of the game, I have never seen anything like it.So many fumbles today and last week too. Why?
Also, Hilly really looked like he did under Ratts.
Taking the third or fourth option where so far this year he's been going with the first or second option and getting it right most times.
Only four marks to Cal Wilkie! Opposition teams would get quite a bit out of that today.
Get it in there quick enough and their defence will quickly look shakey.
My take on it , they are seeing what they have available and after today's game they would of found out a lot.Never thought he played well last week, cheep stats against an ammo side are meaningless, but I wanted to let his fanclub celebrate his small wins without me reminding them he is way off AFL pace, still haven't seen anything to suggest he will be on the list next year. Obviously Ross will cut the list hard at seasons end. Today just showed us that in the rawest possible way.
For the last 10 years under Richo/Ratten, we have not been trained to play football under pressure, e.g. kick the ball to a team mate or team mate’s advantage when someone is trying to stop you/tackle you, this is the precise type of football the collingwood/Richmond/Geelong thrives on.. the non-contested football cannot been sustained…Had a ton of fumbles against the Pies, I said in the first quarter it seemed like a record number of smothers and I reckon that may have been true by the end of the game, I have never seen anything like it.
It feels like when there's a bit of pressure on the team, the panic sets in and we can't get off clean disposals.
Well thankfully I had committed to going to the local rugby - I didnt have to sit through that live. I have been concerned about our midfield for weeks and apart from Marshall they were absolutely owned today. You isolate Crouch, Steele, Clark and Ross and we would have the slowest or worst spreading mids in the competition.
Crouch gets plenty of the ball but is a 'footballing crab', his metres gained for a key midfielder would be lowest in the competition.
Clark wins the ball but teams know how slow he is on the turnover, the exact same reason Ratten off loaded Dunstan.
Steele has been shell of himself since he returned, he really hasnt played consistently well for 12 months.
Ross battled ok but again gets opened up on the spread. He has a high top speed, but is slow to react and is easily stepped.
Wood had a great start to the year but again the injury, he has obviously been playing sore.
Byrnes was owned today and has to find consistency.
The midfield is not the only reason we got pumped, but every teams entire game starts there. RTB & Hayes have been hoping the 3 amigos will carry the midfield load well guess what they wont and never have done. If our recruitment strategy doesnt put an elite midfielder/s on the top of their list, then they are not understanding our list needs IMO.
No way you drop the Hammer, the forwardline is already depleted enough. My take on it , they are seeing what they have available and after today's game they would of found out a lot.
Sharman can play but and looks good when we are on top but when are chasing tail goes missing and he is not the only one.
Hill was back to being invisible , Membrey hasn't shown enough and his injury saves Lyon making a tough call to drop him.
Once again our midfielder's were not seen or in another way of saying it they never impacted the game and this is a massive problem.
They have far exceeded expectations so far so this loss should wake them up I hope.
To me they have been coasting the last few games and now Lyon has a excuse to drop players that are not performing.
The Membery injury saves Lyon making a tough call on dropping him and we could easily see a big shake up next week with up to 5 players being dropped.
King / Hammer , Webster / Paton , Billings / Sharman , Gresham / Membery and Windhager / ? all coming into the 22.
A bit late for that
Yeah you'd think RL is rotating Sandy players in to see how they go at AFL level for sure.My take on it , they are seeing what they have available and after today's game they would of found out a lot.

Owens , Windhager need to be in the midfield , at least they will get the experience - one of our 3 amigos need to be moved out to make way or Clark.Well thankfully I had committed to going to the local rugby - I didnt have to sit through that live. It's okay...when you get used to it lol.Boys looked off.
I blame the Adelaide tap water.
We get King back next week , most probably Gresham and Windhager , Webster so who goes out.No way you drop the Hammer, the forwardline is already depleted enough.
Hill is only good to us when we are on top of the opposition. Without trying to sound too harsh he is a genuine front runner. So many fumbles today and last week too. Why?

could have had serongHill is only good to us when we are on top of the opposition. Without trying to sound too harsh he is a genuine front runner.
It's a trade I'd love be able to go back in time and change but it is what it is.
Thats fairHill is only good to us when we are on top of the opposition. Without trying to sound too harsh he is a genuine front runner.

I think history will strongly favour me.
Yeah you'd think RL is rotating Sandy players in to see how they go at AFL level for sure.
Windy obviously comes in after his Sandy game. King has to play at Sandy you'd think so until we see that it's hard to know when he'll be back.
One thing is for sure, Caminiti has cemented a spot for next week.
I think we'll see a fair bit of list turnover this year. It's a year of exploration as RTB puts it. We've definitely got some great players that you can build a list around, but we've also got some glaring deficiencies. It wouldn't surprise me if Dougs is moved on by the end of the year, wouldn't mind seeing Van Es get a game.
I think Steely's recent performances are a bigger concern.Hill is only good to us when we are on top of the opposition. Without trying to sound too harsh he is a genuine front runner.
It's a trade I'd love be able to go back in time and change but it is what it is.
All players coming off the LTI list have come back via Sandy.King won’t play at sandy
IN: King, Gresham, Webster, WindhagerWe get King back next week , most probably Gresham and Windhager , Webster so who goes out.
That's awesome, enjoy!!Horrible. Absolute garbage.
The only plus is I snagged free to Wu Tang Clan tonight. That’ll fix it
