We played about a quarter and a half of good effort football, but our delivery inside 50 still needs work and our forward line movement still needs work. I wonder if we can maintain the effort? Remembering some early games and the effort and running of guys like Seb Ross, Mason Wood, Brad Crouch, Mitch Owens, Ryan Byrnes and Dan Butler, it was manic pressure and hard, constant running. I don't know if we've been semi-figured out or what, but we don't look the same. Some of those guys are still bringing that pressure and run in patches, but it's not consistent like it was.

I'd like to see King and Windhager in next weekend, Membrey obviously for King due to concussion and Windy for whoever was getting decent midfield minutes but had low GPS and sprint numbers.
He can only replace one of the joggers/ spectators.

If it was just a loss then this would be spot on. But unfortunately it was one of the most gutless pathetic performances many of us have seen for years. Not acceptable.

No one said it's acceptable. You move on. Analyse. Make changes. Get up for next week.

Just like Geelong will after their bad loss to Richmond.

It's only Sunday but might as well chuck Ross, Pattons and Butlers Sandy jumpers in the wash now. Get them ready nice and early for next weekend.

Seb Ross was 5th for possessions for the Saints. Plenty worse than him

Agreed. Thought that since the Collingwood match that opposition teams have been able to come into our game with a plan to counter us.

We don't seem to have a counter to this. We've lucked out in the last month beating North and the Blues but we were beaten on our own deck by Port and we've been insipid against the Crows.

Had it been anyone other than North, we'd be talking about a 3 loss streak. So questions need to be asked of the playing group and the coaching group.

And it isn't our lesser stars it's the more high profile ones not stepping up to the plate. Ross, Steele, Hill. These guys are meant to be the experienced leaders and yet kids like Owens are showing more at present.
Hard to remember a Ross Lyon coached side dish that sort of performance up. They were saying 62 points is our worst loss under Lyon, if not for a late goal or two we would've eclipsed it. Think we are in a bit of strife.

Think our early season form was maybe just form. The win against Carlton looks far less impressive too when you consider what they've served up since. Would like to see Windhager come in next week, maybe Billings too. Still think Pou could use a rest, hasn't been anywhere near as impactful the last couple weeks. Crows away is going to be a pretty brutal fixture this year so I'm not gonna melt over this one. This was never going to be our year, we're still building.

We going to do this again? Stat sheet has numbers so he was OK? He was absolutely deplorable.

He's been pretty good all year.
I've never been his biggest fan but I would not drop him after today's game

That was terrible.

Not surprised Adelaide kicked a big score but the lack of overall competitiveness from the first bounce was awful.

Will be a lot of nervous players at selection this week. Could make 4-6 changes based on today.
The trouble is they wont be nervous as we don't have many at Sandy that are really putting any pressure on them
