I'm going for overall ranking and still pondering what to do with Hille. My bench is Warnock & Lobbe, and Sandilands is my primary ruckman. With 6 trades left, should i play out the donut or grab Cox/Kreuzer?

Similar position and decided to get Cox for Hille. Riding Maguire for a few weeks to see if I can save a trade playing Webberley / Nason.

I have 6 trades left after I trade Duncan to Gysberts. With Webberly/Silvagni to cover him, should I trade out Maguire to Shaw, or should I save the trade?

I still have my M6 (which will be Gysberts) still to upgrade BTW.

I would personally save the trade for now. With a mid upgrade needed you will need at least a double trade just for that leaving 4 for injuries. I would not be confident having only 3 trades to play with regardless of having shaw or not. Take the points hit for now to gain more points later in yr imo.

Doubt it, considering I have 190k in the bank atm, about 145k if I trade out Goose. I think I would have enough for an upgrade (hopefully...)

Incase you missed the question for other people, with 6 trades left, should I go Goose to Shaw, or leave it and save the trade?

Have exactly 190k in the bank, but trying to save as much as I can to upgrade Gysberts later on.

May as well, you dont earn any interest on having the money in the bank. Goose is gone for me, done his job peaked in price and now its time to move him on. When will you do your last mid upgrade?

I think with Gysberts petentially at M6 you need to conserve trades so you can afford a make an eventual upgrade.

Webberly should net you around 40-70 points a week which is pretty good cover IMO. As a Heath Shaw owner from the start, I can't really confifdently recommend him. Seriously out of SC form, but he should bounce back with a big score. How long that will take, i'm not sure.

So i'd probably just to Duncan -> Gysberts for cover and then wait for Gysberts to mature and then upgrade.

I guess this changes a bit if Goose is out for longer than expected. But I reckon Heater will still be around the same price for the next couple of weeks (unless he pulls out a big score) anyway and going by his recent form (ave 70 over the last 4 weeks) he might not be a much better option than Webbely until he finds form.

+1. I'm not a fan on using trades on rucks at the best of times, but certainly not if includes anybody other than Messrs Sandilands & Cox. Graham does look tempting, but it's a huge gamble IMO at this time of season, to gamble on an a) ruckman, b) a relatively unproven one at that, and c) a player who is no certainty to even outscore the bloke he's replacing (NicNat)

I'd be forking out the extra coin for Cox.

Thanks for the advice guys. Your right, I think I'll hang on to Nicnat and my trades for a while and see what develops.

Thinking of going Hille>Cox, but not sure if it's worth copping the 0 to save the trade. Am contemplating downgrading Maguire then upgrading Rocky to Chapman, but don't know if he will hold up. Thoughts?

I'm just thinking about whether five trades will pull me through the rest of the season, considering one would be used to upgrade Gysberts>Premium. I'd say it would. I want to do it, I really do, but I'm still hesitant.

When Gysberts/Cunnington peaks. Will be a straight swap from Gysberts/Cunnington>Premium, no downgrade needed with the 140k in the bank.

Would hope Gysberts would be able to get to about 350-400k to get something decent.

Nice team, i think your in a good position. I would hold Rockliffe this week his price will skyrocket after his last 2 games. You dont need to trade Maguire this week as you have good cover, plus there is no obvious good downgrade target.

Hille to Cox is a winner

personally i'd possibly just do the hille trade. maguire shouldn't be gone for long, you have cover for him, and you don't want too much money sitting on the bench

i have gram roberton and maguire. should i trade gram and get gilbee, having goose as back up for the rest of the season.

or should i trade goose or gram for taylor hunt, hoping he and roberton can cover the games till goose or gram comes back. playing with roberton and hunt as reserves for the rest of the season

I, personaly, would go Gilbee. Very consistant this year and has the big tonnes in him. Taylor Hunt's job security is a worry.

seems like a very good move to me. but its a tough decision ive got coming up

Ive currently got Higgins out, Maguire out, Sylvia has a question mark on him and luke ball out.

Ive Already traded howlett > Gysberts leaving me 337000 in the bank

I can do one of a few things
Trade Maguire > Goddard, or have Sheppard cover maguire till he comes back
Trade Higgins > Chapman/Pav (or anyone else really), or Use Rockliff as cover till higgins is back
Trade Martin/Ball > Ablett (once again or anyone else), or use Bastinac to cover ball till round 13 assuming he only misses one game

Otherwise ill do no trade and hope my benchies can get me over the line.

Alrighty, got a toughish decision on my hands.

I've got Sandi/Hille/Warnock/Lobbe as my rucks.

Must win game this week (bragging rights? =/), but I've had a bit of a lead on the guy every round.

Considering either

Hille > Graham/Kreuz/Mumford
or
Warnock > West, Maguire > Fisher or Enright
or
Warnock > Bellchambers, Maguire > Malceski/Waite/Duffield/Hurn.

My only defensive cover is Silvagni (leaving roberton and maguire on the bench)
Low on trades, but rest of the team is complete and I have good cover. Any thoughts?

hmmm i was just typing a medium sized rant on potential plans when a thought occured to me, so figured i'd put it to you guys. i'm considering trading maguire -> waite, who i could then DP with p. davis giving me the following...

DEF: goddard, hodge, malceski, gilbert, enright, waters, hurn (davis, webberley)
FWD: pav, brown, rok, gia, waite, pods, fyfe (rockliff, grant)

maguire was on my bench anyway, and waite should give me something slightly unique. plus if i trade melksham -> gysberts (will cover luke ball this week) i should have enough cash for fyfe/rockliff/grant -> chapman in the next week or two. anyone think this is a bad idea? i currently have 9 trades left
