Re: Round 13 Trades

Gee... a lot of people are quick to jump off Browny.

Even if your scoring suffers in the next fortnight, he's going to be back when it matters.

Re: Round 13 Trades

What's the go with Andrew Strijk? I hear he has great foot skills. Does he have good job security West Coast supporters? Looking to downgrade Maguire and Stirjk or Roberton seem the only options.

Assuming Brisbane have a chance of making the 8 and that his groins are ok.

Only did 1 trade this week

Out: Josh Hunt
In: Gilbert

$80k left, 6 trades and now I only need to upgrade Martin and potentially Maguire/LeCras. Got Nason covering for Maguire and Rockcliff (awesome form atm) covering Higgins. Higs should be back after the split round hopefully.

Re: Round 13 Trades

To get off Shaw or not?

He's a bit down lately but i'm sticking with him before...look at what he did in the Melbourne game. He decided to turn it on for 1 half and got close to 60-70 SC points. Once he starts hitting form again he'll be mincing it.

Re: Round 13 Trades

Hello everyone

My current back line is:

Goddard Hodge Enright Waters Shaw Fisher Davis (Webberley Goose)

280K in the bank was considering

Malceski - missed the boat but possibly still worth it
Lake - may give my back line some consistency
Gilbee - Inconsistent but huge ceiling
Gilbert - Popular pick but that would make it 3 Saints defenders :(
Waite - Still under priced but wouldn't be able to use MPP with Davis

Or someone else like Newman, Hurn or even Duffield thoughts:eek:

Re: Round 13 Trades

do you have a mpp (defender) in your forward line oh you said no logic :)

Lol nah i don't. Just noticed Chad Cornes sitting all the way down there. Think he may be a better option despite his age/form

Also, re your conundrum, i have no idea lol! Ideally hanging onto Brown is still a good option, depends on whether or not you are satisfied with the scores your cover gets you. A lot depends on whether or not you are going for overall or league too.

I'd swap Balla or Roughead for Goodes.

Re: Round 13 Trades

my team of hacks are sitting second on the ladder a game clear of the guy lam playing l might wait till next round l'm looking at doing a few different like up grading either goose or schmitd to a gilbee kelly duffeild or bradley(use his mmp skills) and getting goodes or broom broom sake the room Harvey maybe both if things pan out ..........maybe you should get hurley and then trade for another forward/defender in your forward line in the comming weeks

Re: Round 13 Trades

Well... Looks like I am going to trade this week... Maguire to Roberton looks too good to pass up imo. It's either that or Hunt of which I think Roberton is the better choice. :)

***Or maybe not, got some good defenders coming back for both teams after the split round..... Hrm....

wouldn't touch roberton. harvey said mcpharlin et al due back after the break so he has no JS, wait a week or two to see other rookies. For that reason I'm holding Maguire for now.

Re: Round 13 Trades

Might have to cop a donut this week from Maguire for the second week in a row.

Only 6 trades left and just 60k in the bank. Is it worth trading to a Grundy or Harbrow this week? I'm reluctant to do it as neither are really keepers.

Although i'm thinking Grundy might start scoring better once Craig Bolton comes back in a couple of weeks?

Re: Round 13 Trades

Went Maguire > Gilbee and that's my backline set, actually that is my team set bar one final upgrade to Riewoldt in a months time. I only need one more downgrade trade as well (possibly to Strijk in 3 weeks). Feels good even though I have Brown & Higgins as my forward bench at the moment.

Defensive line of: Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Gilbee, Goodwin & Hurn (Webberly/Ladson)

I'm consindering Grundy...will see where he goes over the next couple.

Just happy to welcome chappy to my team this week.

Just outside the top 8 in my league, need to maintain a decent score and stay competitive - my current trades are to keep my forward line up and going (very suspect when one player is out of the lineup, let alone two).

I have more than enough trades to last between now and round 22.

Re: Round 13 Trades

l did some rearranging , l dumped Higgins(F) and Charman (R)which released enough money for me to bring in Jamar and Warren. l now have Jamar and Natanui . Next week all going well , l'll bring in Cox and have Natanui as emergency. Still undefeated and only averaging 2100. l'm also starting too field players that are selected in more than one position so l can rotated them if needed.

Out of curiosity how many do you consider to be enough?
