Re: Rd 21 Trades

Birchall or Suckling the safe bets. I really rate Adcock though and then you'll have 120 k left still.

Indeed they are, although Birchall is too damn inconsistent.
I'm tossing up between Suckling, Enright, Bock and Carrazzo.
Tough :S

Re: Rd 21 Trades

I'm in 5 leagues & SHOULD win 4 this week.

I only have one trade left with 297k in the bank.

My teams is:

Deledio, Fisher, Gibbs, Goddard Enright, Addcock, Broughton
Puopolo, Jacobs, Taylor

Pendlebury, Redden, Ablett, Swan, Ward, Boyd
Buckley, , Prestia, I smith

Cox, Mummy
J. Tippet, Dericx

Pavlich, Goodes, Mzungu, N.Riewoldt, Franklin, Rioli, Fyfe,
Krakouer, J.Riewoldt,Petrie,

I'm thinking of burning my last trade. I'm thinking of moving Krak into the midfield & upgrading him to NDS, to chase that win so all my leagues have a rest next week.

I only have the one trade left & cash , so I'm not going to trade sideways anyway.
The only downside i see is if NDS cops an injury in the next 2 weeks.
Thoughts?

Re: Rd 21 Trades

have 500k to spend on last midfield upgrade, options are: barlow, priddis, griffen and boyd.

which is the best option ?

Priddis.

Backline is the hard one. Who to bring in - Bock, Adcock, Birchall or Suckling? Aaaahhhhh!!

I think Adcock is too inconsistent and injury prone, Birchall is too inconsistent and apparently could be rested ... so this morning I had Bock locked in (in my mind), now probably leaning towards Suckling ... HELP!

Sort of looks like Suckling to me ...

Re: Rd 21 Trades

after taking the huge step of trading out my one premium ruck (goldstein) last week for a ruc/fwd option (jtippett), giving me 3 trades & $498k in the bank, now this week we spend it.

with the news newman will be back soon, that gives me an unexpected extra trade option. so went OUT petterd IN mitchell (and made C) then OUT mzungu IN goodes.

fingers crossed no more injuries and that one trade is OUT one of cotchin, martin, cross and IN whoever i can afford with $148k left in the bank. thinking j.selwood after their bye next week.
a.swallow on the bench and no more bye damage coming.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Suckling does appear to have a bit of a niggle though and a little out of form (i brought him in just before his form slump :() so perhaps a resting candidate? Hawks do have a great run home though.

I don't mind Bock tbh. Nice POD.

Re: Rd 21 Trades

Carrazzo - too big a risk when coming back off injury
Enright - couldn't risk losing him next week if I lost the game this week
Suckling - form is down and carrying an injury niggle that shows no signs of going away
Bock - risky, but the one I picked
:)

Round 22 Trades

For those that still have trades left, discuss here what your plans are to do with them this week.

The infamous Geelong bye has swung around and will most likely see some rookies played on the ground as cover for the likes of Chapman, Selwood, Bartel, Enright and SJ.

For me I have 1 trade left and I'm not too sure what I will do with it, could get rid of either Cross or Adcock because they stink up the team time and time again.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Bartel -> Montagna. Both are probably on par with each other.

Enright -> Newman. If Newman comes back in of course.

Re: Round 22 Trades

897600 to spend on a back & mid, will change my mind 100 times before Friday.
Suckling/Priddis early contenders!

Currently in the side:
Deledio, Goddard, Murphy, Gilbert, Lower, Duffield
Pendles, Judd, Swan, Boyd, Thompson
Pav, Goodes, ROK, Sylvia (DP)

Re: Round 22 Trades

One semi-final, but probably the league I want to win most, three preliminary finals. One trade left. Chapman, Enright, Bartel and Gibbs are my remaining bye affected players. 134k-ish in the bank

I was thinking Hibberd to Thompson, Wells or O'Keefe, which kills my defender/mid dual option, but seems like the logical move (probably Thompson, got plenty of m/f duals already). Second option would be Rawlings or Lower to Bock (think I've got enough, but not 100% sure). Third option would be to hang on to the trade and pray that Zac Smith gains enough value for me to upgrade to a falling Sandilands (pretty unlikely).

Team is:

Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Gibbs, Broughton, Enright, Lower
Rawlings, Howard, Strauss

Pendlebury, Swan, Ablett, Mitchell, Bartel, Harvey
Hibberd, Prestia, Didak

Cox, Petrie
Z. Smith, Gorringe

Pavlich, Franklin, Goodes, Chapman, Sylvia, N. Riewoldt, Mzungu
I. Smith, J. Tippett, Howe

Can't go wrong with Priddis mate. Scores 100+ every time. I think his lowest score is 92.

Two trades left and 60k in the bank. With no injuries or Calrton/Essendon players and the week off I can save them. With Talia going up in price nicely by r23/24 he will be sold off to upgrade Nroo or Adcock.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Im in 3 out of 4 prelims, but thinking about trading Chapman to Buddy this week leaving 1 left to give me the edge for the one qualifying game this week. Thoughts? Howe would replace Chapman if not...

Re: Round 22 Trades

Yeh.......I wouldn't go with Newman

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...-season-on-brink/story-e6frf9jf-1226113204328

For me:
Enright--> Adcock, Chapman--> Fyfe
or
Enright--> Birchall, Chapman--> Cloke

This is the more recent, and in the eyes of Newman-owners, more positive article on his injury: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...s-quick-recovery/story-e6frf9jf-1226113669160

Seems a bit unclear at this stage. I personally will be waiting until at least round 23.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Bock might be a good option for the defence based on recent form.
Rnd 21/Bris - 130
Rnd 20/Geel - 115
Rnd 19/St K - 130
Rnd 18/Coll - 67
Rnd 17/Rich - 128
Rnd 16/Syd - 87
Rnd 15/Freo - 109
Rnd 14/WB - 125

I might go that way instead of Johncock... though depends if Newman is back.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Im trading out Bartel & Lower this week

In total will have 794300 to spend on a mid and a back

was thinking Boyd & Hurn, anyone have any better suggestions?

depends on who else you already have, post your team and then a proper judegement/assistance can occur

Re: Round 22 Trades

Not making any trades this week. Barring any injuries, i'll upgrade someone the week after and then make another upgrade for the Grand Final.

Re: Round 22 Trades

I am down to my last 2 trades, but think I will pull the trigger this week and use them up. What I am thinking is

Lynch -> Callinan (This will allow me to move Smith into my midfield if required)
Mzungu -> Mitchel

My team for this week would then look like

Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Birchall, Lower, Puopolo
Enright, Jacobs, Strauss

Swan, Pendlebury, Judd, Mitchell, Ablett, Cotchin
Bartel, Smith, Hibberd

Cox, Petrie
Smith, Keeffe

Pav, Goodes, R'OK, Franklin, Yarran, N. Roo, Rioli
Howe, Callinan, J. Tippette

Mitchell can cover Bartel this week, Judd next week and Cotchin will most likely take the pine in the GF (if I make it). And yes, I know my backline is fairly crap (esp if there is a problem with Lower) but I have had TERRIBLE luck picking defenders so I will avoid it now.

Re: Round 22 Trades

Is trading Selwood to Daisy and Mzungu to B Harvey a waste? last 2 trades.

will give me extra this week but i'll be weaker for the next most likley.

I'm in 2 leagues, made the prelim in 1. So i'm thinking of holding the 2 for next week, trading Gibbs to Enright and another Back to a premium.

So close to the end, what do do?
