Round 10 Update:
We travelled far, we travelled wide - and eventually Mobbs found the map and we ended up at the Snow Dome, home of Snow Bunnies and the Mt Buller Demons for our Round 10 clash....

In muddy conditions, we adapted quickly and we adapted well - kicking out to an early lead and pushed the lead out in each of the first three quarters before easing off for a great win in the conditions. Full match details can be found here.
This win pushed us into the Top 4 for the first time since last year....
Allikat 's Hug of the Week:
Sometimes you need your big name players to stand up - or in this case - sit on the opposition with a huge amount of force....
1 : 23.31 {C} - Watch out! Oh! JackNah_8 has laid Callums_Guns out flat.
Great effort early in the first by JackNah_8 to squash one of the opposition - who had minimal further impact on the game....
TedDougChris 's Open Goal and Miss of the Week:
Slim pickings here, during a week which both sides kicked accurately. We kicked 12.3, with one rushed behind - so not much to complain about here....
JackNah_8 's Half Hat of the Week:
This week gets awarded to a veteran Roy (I'm not sure if there is an alternate category here) - Roylion - who clearly did something so terrible, so hideous - in the first two minutes of the game - to get dragged and not be allowed to return until the match was safely won.... Who do you think you are mate - that's clearly the Captains job !!! Despite this, he still managed higher stats that royboy2 - who played nearly the entire match.
Just going to show, that even when the Sim is smiling at you - it can still be kicking you in the nuts as an individual !!!
Well done all and onto next week....

Round 11 Update:
Having sacked Mobbs from navigation duties last week, we decided to stay at home and avoid any issues associated with transport. We were hoping that our opponents, the Warriors - would abide by social distancing and not turn up - but apparently their competitive spirit prevented this - so we had a game to play.

Highlights of the match thread involved the brief return of Roys legends - Broken and Barrels !!
Despite the match thread then degenerating to a discussion on Bovril vs Bonox and Marmite vs Promite vs Vegemite (isolation symptoms are well and truly kicking in !!!!) - the Roys were able to claw back from a few Warriors leads in the first, second and third quarters - and cometh the hour, cometh the Mooch - with the gun full forward kicking truly (sometimes) to lead us to a hard fought 9 point win.
This pushed us up one spot to third on the table - but don't bloody tell anyone....

Well done to all, but special recognition to royboy2 - statless last week, leading all comers with 106 DT points this week. 26 possessions, 8 marks, 2 goals in a great performance.

The young CHF wins the duel with the opposition captain - but the finishing didn't match the upfield work... Something we need to refine in the coming weeks.
