Listen guys heard a rumour the pies may be looking at a ruckman his surname is Currie.

Can't think of his first name but he played with the swans for a saeson or two now he is a dominating in the SANFL.

Thing is Adelaide are in to him to especially cos they lost Giles.

Has anyone got any info on this guy?

Yep. Seen him quite a bit play for the Roosters here. He looked pretty decent but i would say the Crows would be box seat for him.

Adelaide will probably get Jesse White from the Tippett deal, doubt that they will also want this bloke.

Yeah, it's hard to believe they couldn't at least get their 2nd round pick too, or force them to trade with others for a higher 1st round pick. Maybe they know Sydney can just price him out of everyone else's reach in the PSD if they don't trade him.

i would just send him to the draft anyways. Make him sweat. GWS could afford him and if they didnt need to trade im sure they would snatch him. There is no point in trading for White. He wont get games, so in reality you are getting pick 22 for him. Not enough

We got a better deal than this for Dawes because pick 45 is better than Jesse White. What a joke!

Yeah, can't see White playing many games for them unless they see a problem with big man depth/injuries as they've lost a lot to to other clubs in recent years.

White is a fwd. He would be behind Walker, McKernan and Jenkins so 4th in line.... list clogger.

Reason- quote says that Pies realised that Clinton young's heart is still with hawks taht why Pies dropped off the chase!

From the rumours around the traps, it would appear that Collingwood is going to draft a ruckman from uncontracted players or from 2nd tier competitions. If you take Walsh at his word, it will be a draft rather than a trade.....i just saw the Pies connected to Martin in the SunHerald....maybe the strategy is to shake a few trees and then see who falls down

Hang on, but isn't that what we have done previously, i.e. given up 1st round picks to top up? Much as you are suggesting for Sydney... I agreed at the time, but we have not won a flag for 2 years, and we are now behind the top teams, so I think that we are doing the right thing. Right now we need to look at more than just next year (and we needed to rejuvinate our list for next year anyway). My glasses are certainly not rose-tinted, but enough of this "sky is falling" bull shite.
