F*** off Ryan.

How is Gordon saying that Griffen showed great leadership in coming to PG, Grant and the Coach after the B&F.... all while he's doing a back door deal with the Giants. Peter Gordon and Simon Garlick should F*** off as well.

Why? For doing what they had to. McCartney resigned. It's shit, let's not make it worse.

It will happen anyway, this contract stuff is to get a better deal

hopefully... surely gordon isnt that bloody stupid - this is a real chance to set us up in a strong draft

Yes, really.

Wow. Did not know that.

So basically Griffen was always going to be out the door for a payday. And his parting gift to the club that made him captain was to shit on the coach, who was probably suspicious of him anyway.

Would not be surprised if team morale and poor late form came from a disinterested onfield leader who started playing for himself, as much as anything else.

I don't think he would have been promised more money at GWS, in fact probably the other way around.
But they were into him for ages and I think the change of environment was a bigger factor than the $$$.

Captains of a Club do not run, they don't ask for trades, they don't go into meeting and promise one thing then reneg on it without any consultation. He cannot remain the captain let alone a player at this club.
He's no captain. An honorary title that clearly shouldn't have been given.
