a) Former professional athlete that has remained in the game ever since
b) Not in bad shape; average figure for age
c) Non drinker, non smoker, even appears to watch his sugar intake

Look so friggen old?!

I would have no issue believing the face in that pic belongs to a 75yo
He looks worse then my dad .. and he's an alcoholic.

Remember when Hinkley first started and he'd say "you get what you deserve". It was so good to hear as a supporter because it was the opposite of a cop-out. It was refreshing to hear somebody speak on behalf of the team and take responsibility. How far we are from that these days.... Now it's "don't judge us on..", "we just need the missing piece of the puzzle". He gave up saying that once his tenure cotradicted it. I'm positive he stopped saying it after he saw his players work so hard and come up short when it mattered. It must have been heart breaking to see and also know that it's true because it also applies to the coach. All these years later and what have we done differently since we changed game style after THAT Hawthorn loss? Almost everyone around Ken has either changed, left or put in significant effort to change and adapt.

I remember listening to his press conference after a game we lost to the Bulldogs up north in one of his early years. He was very measured but visibly angry after the loss, it really meant something to him. Those days are well and truly gone.

After that loss to Hawthorne he put up his hand and said it was his fault....

Now... Wouldn't change a thing.. judge me on the wins not the losses... Blah blah more loser talk.

Because despite what all the ads and influencers say genetics are by far the dominant factor in health and looks.

Yep. It makes sense too, what with Ken being part potato.

Buckley on SEN today categorized Ken as Challenging Greatness along with McRae and a couple of other coaches …. My question is What flavor is a Challenging Greatness donut?

Every time Buckley's speaks about hinkley his brain turns to mush
