In regards to Hinkley, I will only dance when he's officially sacked.

Up until then, I don't really believe anything coming out of Koch and the PAFC at all.

I hope Ken and Jordy pack their bags tomorrow but the administration is so inept that Kenny Twenty is also possible.

I don't know if Craig McRae turning the Pies around in two seasons has changed the board.

I don't know if the fans laughing at Ken has helped.

I don't know if the record of Bill Stephen approaching is helping. You would think that coaching a club for 250 games would be celebrated and there would be an article on the official site but the media like Rucci reported nothing. The club usually celebrates milestones but there may be an air of embarrassment with Kenny now.

As someone stated previously, a 30 for 30 of the Ken Hinkley run would be amazing. I think a few years down the track the rogues gallery in charge, all of them, will be seen in a very poor light.

For some reason, I really want to know what Jasper Pittard has to say on the matter. There is a Youtube video in the early days before the game and Kenny is going around to different players and having a chat and when Kenny goes over to Jasper, you really get the feeling that Jasper is taking the absolute pee out of Kenny, just in the way he stand and his responses, like he knows Kenny is going to say the most generic lame thing he gives it an over the top attention that it didn't deserve.

The club did put out a bunch of shit on the socials when he got to 250 and got absolutely roasted in the comments.

I mean Facebook eventually got all the happy clapper boomers going congratulations 🎉 Kenny 😁, but other than that it was all bad. The club has to see that and know he's on the nose.

That moment has never sat right with me. Hinkley essentially said we know you are going to **** up but will accept it because of the positives you bring (inb4 shittard). Jasper looked incredibly uncomfortable, likely because they were both fully aware they were being filmed for one of those intra-season documentaries. Thanks Dad.

What fine pieces of Hinkley propaganda they were.

Judging by Davies' interview this morning with David King and Cornes, the succession plan is locked in. First time I've heard him the say the club has supported Hinkley for a "very long time". No sh*t Sherlock. Ever looked in the mirror Chris?
I don't suppose there was an inkling that they will grow a pair and actually sack this parasite?

Jasper was very uncomfortable with the dog murdering, went on to work with a greyhound rescue group.

All these years later and I can’t believe I was so sad when Kane Cornes retired in 2015.

Looking back, and with the added colour of REH’s explanation regarding the rarity and timing of the MFS’s intake, it is absolutely staggering that Hinkley allowed him to continue.

In a year when Port is universally considered to be amongst the premiership favourites, the most senior player on the list is the furthest thing from all-in, and will bail as soon as the 300 mark is reached.

Stinky.

There's no way Donuts would agree to anything "coaching".
We know that Hinkley is against any form of personal development because he is convinced that he knows it all. He is a classic example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. If the club has decided that the coaches warrant a coach, something that the board would have signed off on, yet Hinkley is allowed to opt out then it seems we truly are the Kenny Hinkley Football Club.

It also could be that the club feel may they have given Hinkley many chances to improve himself and believe it would be a waste of club revenue to invest in a coach that is unteachable, so they are investing the resources in Carr.

If that's how they feel, ie there is no improvement in this loser, then it makes his contract extension last August even more ridiculous.

The language from Koch has been interesting too.

Koch saying a succession has "not at the board level" been locked in suggests that maybe there is an agreement in place.

And we know Koch gives the footy committee pretty free reign.

So CD saying "very long time" makes me feel like the agreement is "not at the board level" but has been made between CD, Ken and Josh.

But that may well just be wishful thinking again. I've been caught before.

But isn’t it the club’s belief that Hinkley is a ‘premiership coach’, it’s simply a matter of patience and supplying him with adequate tools?

Ergo, at 57 years old and with a quarter-century’s coaching experience under his belt, Ken requires no improvement.

He’s the finished article. 60% wins, and Travis Boak never absconded to Geelong. Three Prelims. A kick away. Twice! Bad luck and one bad day. 13 wins in a row! Injuries.

It’s why none of the negatives ever move the needle and he apparently has the job for life.

I'm barely on Facebook so I don't know that world so well but any kind of milestone is usually met with a press conference specifically about that milestone.

Last week Houston got to 150 games so he gets a presser.

Boak plays his 350, he gets a presser and didn't he get a day in the life of Travis Boak video. Maybe he did that himself.

Even a mark of the week or a player coming back from injury usually gets a presser.

Just a little bit of a different attitude towards Kenny from the club.

And for those who still need a bit more convincing, if Kenny had 3 premierships and hit 250 games, I am sure the club would've gone crazy with their celebrations.

I've always found it a bit weird too. Maybe I put too much into it but one thing is for sure, it has a weirdness about it.

My hunch is that Ken will be gone after this year unless we jag a flag.

Hope you're right. I can't even be confident that he's gone after 2025 if we don't jag a flag. All reasonable predictions about when he should be gone have been blown out.

Ken IS weird though. His mannerisms, way of talking, the finger wiggle, weird little jog. He is a very strange man.

Beyond the obvious finals flameouts, the absolute worst year he served up was greeted with institutional gaslighting on a grand scale — replete with relentless lies from the CEO (we’re so young, we’re inconsistent because we’re teeming with kids, Ken sacrificed his career, Dougal didn’t help much when Ben Brown kicked 10).

The bar is so low you get the feeling he’d need to serve up a 5-18 season while off-contract, and even then.

If Adam Simpson gets the Weagles to bounce back from here, there’s no guarantee a basement finish would do it given how easily-influenced Koch is by alleged precedent.

Even the Facebook comments were overwhelmingly negative for that one, too much for them to hide at the bottom of the comments section, it was glorious.
