Yep. It is the coaches responsibility to prepare the players into the right mindset. He fails again at home in a first quarter that most time will cost the game. Piss poor.

When we win it's "Hinkley magic", when we lose its "the players let Kenny down".

When we win it's "Hinkley magic", when we lose its "the players let Kenny down".

Surely that’s not serious..

He bathed in the glory of beating geelong right up until the bounce on Sunday.

That performance for 3/4 is solely on him and his inability to prepare this team and then talent (and some arse) gets them home and this imbeciles in melb reckon it’s all Kenny’s doing.. the bloke without a headset on..

I would expect Port to be outright first atm with a 12 season grace period coach. No supporter base for any team would ever want a senior coach who admitted that their first 11 seasons coached would be without a grand final. Cornes is the ultimate nepotist, as he openly admits here. I would love to see people challenge these hypocrites, I've only seen David King, Grant Thomas and Tredrea really question the obvious about Hinkley's grace period.

All you have to do in this argument is stick to the basic facts. As of this weekend there isn't a coach in the 127 year history of this competition who has coached this many games without appearing in a grand final. It is an unprecedented reign of mediocrity and clearly highlights our club's overall lack of ambition and satisfaction with simply participating in the competition. Any other discussion for or against Hinkley beyond this basic fact is the real white noise.
