Looking at the fixture I can't see us in any way making the top 4. Actually dropping out of the 8 is a distinct possibility.
The predictor has us winning 15 games and finishing 8th. That's 7 more wins. I can see one definite at home v Richmond, maybe Saints but it's away so no certainty and maybe Brisbane at home. The other games I give 50% chance or less. I don't think we'll make the 8 at all.

At the very least he should've been done at the end of 2022.

After barely making it through a 5 year stretch which yielded one solitary final (an embarrassing home elimination final defeat), he managed to get his team to back to back home preliminary finals - the first lost in somewhat admirable but still disappointing fashion, the second pound for pound one of the most disgraceful performances in the history of the comp. He then followed that up with his worst season - 10-12/11th - in what was his tenth season at the helm.

Any other club he's done at that point. His reign would've ended at 10 years and been somewhat comparable to say Brad Scott at North. But no, we continue on for at least another 2 years and surprise surprise have so far seen all of the same stuff as we had seen in the preceding 10 years - last year's home final meltdown followed by whatever middling crap this year will end up being.
No, at the very least he should have been done after 2019 and one (losing) final in five years. At the second very least he should have been done after 2022, yes, but even by the low standard of 'at the very least' he shouldn't have even still been there in 2022.

This club deserves to miss finals, it's the only way now that any heat will come to Ken.

The only issue I have, even if Hinkley walks is we will go on as we were, Carr will be on auto and things will be the same.
I don't believe that. The ineptitude and unsuitability of Ken as coach cannot be matched. He is a one off loser of the highest or lowest quality.

There is no replacing this incompetent, arrogant imbecile. No matter who is the next coach they will only be better but I worry they will be lumbered with a list that is top heavy of not only talls but also a Hinkley team of a couple stars and then a huge drop off.

I do think that we will miss the finals and again the board will do nothing and then Ken will try and pull a rabbit out of his arse in his contract year and try and continue on.

It would be interesting to know if Carr is informed of the opinions on social media, BF in particular because his popularity is taking a dive big time.
He's working in a toxic environment and the natives are starting to go off him, me included, better than Hinkley but an infected Carr wont fix our problems. We need a massive clean out including the Chairman, CEO, Footy Manager, head coach and some assistant coaches, that will piss you off hey Kane.
Josh Carr has an up hill battle to clear out the Hinkley culture and infuse his own. This may take several years to take effect.

Ken has managed to forge a decade long career on the back of individual player brilliance like Robbie Gray, & astute assistant coaching appointments, like Walsh, & Richardson.

He’s probably the greatest conman in AFL history. Players like Dixon are drawn to him, because they know success & accountability are always optional, & never enforced.

I yelled at to Matthew Richardson (in jest with a smile on my face) “Sack Hinkley” at the Maggies game tonight

And got kicked out at half time .......
What reason was given for kicking you out?

If it was just for shouting "sack Hinkley" then this needs to be called out and taken up with the club. It's one thing to dismiss supporters not buying the propaganda as "white noise" but it's another thing altogether to have someone removed from a game for shouting something totally inoffensive because it doesn't sit well with the incompetent management.

Good to hear that Matthew Lloyd has finally come out publicly and stated that Port Adelaide can't win the premiership.

...
I've been saying since 2016 that Hinkley is not the coach to take us to our next flag. I'm no Matthew Lloyd though.

I kind of agree with this because in my opinion once we saw that Butters, Rozee and the other young guys were going to be really good we needed to set our eyes on winning premierships from 25-30 as many as we can fill our boots with. But they have tried to give Hinkley"missing links" instead of investing at least our first and second round picks in young players from the draft.
Also 2025-2030 gives us the opportunity to clear out losers like Hinkley, Dixon most of the assistants and a few players that are detrimental to the way we should play (you know who I'm talking about).
That's why he should have been gone a few years ago so the cleansing can begin and we can become winners again.

I don't think the poster has given us any more context or information about the incident, so it may be that there was a bit more that went on between (a) "sack Hinkley" and (b) being thrown out.

Yeah I did it all last night and we will finish around 7-12. Likely make finals, Ken stays and then we do well what we usually do.....

We have a softish draw in the next bit, but hey, like they went through on AA yesterday, look at who we have lost too - the scary teams you play in finals.

Seriously, there are no more ****ing missing pieces, ken has one more year, make a bloody business decision based on the next 5 years, he isn't part of it, **** him off.

How can they not see it???

12 / 13 years? carn mate, do the right thing and walk.

If they are serious about Carr, then Hinkley gets sacked at the end of this year, regardless of where we finish.

That will then imply they are looking forward..... I can't fathom the idea of Ken being here beyond this year.

The funniest bit is yet to come. Once he's gone nothing surer he will complain the club didn't back him and its the supporters fault that he is walking away empty handed.
Once he's out the door he can say anything he likes, I certainly won't hear it.

They didn’t specify the reason. Got a tap on the shoulder a few minutes later to leave. I wasn’t unruly at all so putting 2 and 2 together it would’ve been my comment that was the doing.

Look at our last 5 games - Carlton in Melbourne, Sydney in Adelaide, Melbourne in Melbourne, Showdown, and Fremantle in Perth. Barring performance enhancing drugs, we're losing all 5.

Well that's a fallacy, because I don't think he can pronounce the word "supporters".
