Hinkley really does bottle his own farts and smells them.

For the first 3 quarters of last Thursday Night's game, I honestly thought Carlton were playing pretty ordinary and were lucky to be ahead courtesy of some favourable umpiring, but perhaps most alarmingly a somewhat erectile dysfunctional foward line (something I suspect a condition probably suffers from)

It took herculean efforts from Cripps, Charlie and Walsh to blow the game apart in the final quarter for us, but even without Rozee, a decent coach with a disciplined and concise game plan and ability to function a decent foward would have had Port up by at least 2 or 3 goals at 3 quarter time.

I was actually rather pissed off myself by how Carlton were playing at 3 quarter time, but I find it absolutely incomprehensible Ken thought Port were playing very well up until then

Finally in the last 5 years, 3 NBA championship winning coaches (in a very tough 30 team league with parity), Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel and Mike Budenholzer were fired from their teams after a disappointing follow up season or two later, yet Ken Hinkley has somehow (like a cockroach) managed to break an 130 plus VFL/AFL record of 260 games (likely to make it 300) and counting without even making a bloody grand final.

And i see many neural supporters on this forum say you guys (life long dyed in the world and passionate Port Adelaide people) are way too hard/ungrateful to Kern.

That's just bullshit.

Johnny Elliott was a very flawed club president (esp with paper bags and disgraceful off field scandals) but generally speaking he would have *ed a coach like Kern off after 3 seasons (max) if we had one in the Hinkley timeline with the personal he had his disposal at Carlton.

Teflon Kochie just doesn't have that ruthless ambitious streak in him as chairman to do what is right for your football club.

He needs to go at the same time as Kern.

He has a mediocre/losers Mentality like Kern. Any good will he Gained from getting your club in a sound financial state after his first few years long gone.

If nothing else, philreich (one of my very favourite people on this forum) deserves to enjoy watching and be proud of his footy team again

As much as I can't stand Hinkley, his enablers are more to blame. Koch, Richardson & Davies all need to go along with Stinkers.
Cleaning up their mess is going take a while, we may even have to get used dropping down the ladder some to get back up again, which happens when a big broom sweeps through an organization.

At no stage did I think we were going to win that game. Neither team played that well up to 3/4 time.

As usual Stinkers had no answers to Carlton once they started rolling. Sack Hinkley.

LOL I can think of only 1 circumstance where I'd be grateful to Hinkley - when he finally does what he should have done years ago: QUIT!!!

Not quite on that level, but I suspect it will be the happiest day for most Port Adelaide people since the 2004 Grand Final when that happens !!!

I would honestly hate to lose him, but I honestly believe Ash Hansen is the next great young AFL coach in the making..

He has been our foward line coach for a few years now and the results speak for themselves (he had a highly regarded reputation at the Bulldogs do)

I strongly feel Ash could honesty have a positive and immediate impact at Alberton as Adam Kingsley at GWS.

It'll make me sick if he "leaves on his own terms" and the club tries to treat him as a hero... Instead of the sacking he so richly deserves. But that's probably what will happen.

I mean it'll still be a good day, but he needs to be sacked properly

It’s always fascinating to see visiting teams and supporters celebrating a win over Port under lights @ Adelaide Oval as if they’ve ventured into Boston Garden and won a Game 7.

You literally only have to be show up on time and you’re an even chance.

Finals wins since 2014:

Ken Hinkley: 2 wins
Michael Voss: 2 wins
Adam Kingsley: 2 wins

It's now 2024 lol.

Well if it is a Saturday night Port is 4 wins and 17 losses, then it would be unlikely for Port to get across the line. Over 75 % chance the away team would win, so great odds that night against Port. So much for the Portress. More like the Portaloo!

To be fair to Carlton, they've never won there except against Freo, and our average winning margin against them was about 12 goals.

All it took them was rocking up with a bit of a ticker though.

Let's not mention the coach who has overseen multiple list transformations but still cannot find a winning formula. The players are there. The players have been there for years. The coach is a friggin donkey.

Donkeys are useful & cute, Kkken is neither.
