Typical bean counter using stats to justify the decision he's already made.

No one cares about your minor round win ratio.

You start the season aiming for 13 wins to make top 8, 15 wins to get top 4, 16-17 wins top 2.

However once you start banking wins you start managing your list and working to get them cherry ripe for finals.

The only data that tells you how well you went is the finals and it wasn't just straight sets it was wiped off the park.

I would rather that if your list is shot, blood some kids and let them taste finals rather than putting in crap performances like the two we just saw.

So rather than looking at your data, why not question why after banking finals appearances so early in the season, why didn't the coaching department start managing a list for peak performance in September, rather than burning injured players chasing a winning streak.

Obvious answer is the twot chairman wants KPIs delivered by August.

"Well David, you made it quite clear early in the year that September doesn't matter to you, and the coaches and players delivered what you asked! So you must be happy"
