Roast Sack Koch - Chairman of The Redeem Team

Nine News - Kochie goes Bang! and doesn't miss too many targets.

Pity he wasn't bristling and vitriolic at the never ending under performance of his own club players, coaches, support staff, Board members, etc as he was at passionate supporters quite rightly venting their collective spleen, and then vowed to weed out the weak links and errors in process as a priority. 😒😠☹️

But hey!
How's the stability and carbon neutrality?

It's laughable that they're even in the conversation when there's enough damning evidence in front of us right now. During Koch and Hinkley's reign we've witnessed Melbourne rise from below us to win a premiership, and we've seen Richmond go from league punchline and meme to premiership dynasty. Yes, that Richmond. The one Hinkley's Port obliterated in a final in 2014. Both of those clubs had no right to win a premiership before Port.
You can add the Western Bulldogs to that list of clubs that had no right to win a Premiership before Port.

This external pressure needs to be kept up. It’s obvious Koch and co are feeling heat from a few directions. He was more defensive this morning than usual and even felt the need to have a crack at Rowe of all people. Listening this arvo it’s also come to light that officials and players had refused to be interviewed by AA because they felt uncomfortable at Rowe’s comments post the crows loss to Sydney when he got into a typical Rowe emotional rant to a port supporting caller who was giving him shit. Said you’re a club that re-signed a coach you don’t want and hoped Port went out in straight sets.
Have we become that precious?

Oh boy, what a scoundrel club Richmond is. Don't they know stability drives success, how dare they appoint someone new from outside when they had a perfectly good replacement already in the roll and all the data pointed to it being a good continuation. All that home and away season data which is so key and all that stability all ignored. No corporate governance at Richmond.

I just wish everyone else would refuse to be interviewed by rowe then maybe he would disappear from the airwaves altogether.

Stephen Rowe was right. Port have become a bunch of soft c*cks. Never would I have imagined saying that in my lifetime.

Refreshing imo that koch has come out and made a response. Personally thought it was an average sort of response but at least it can lead to a conversation of the main representative of the club and other opinions of media et etc. With that maybe can come reflection, listening and consideration of other views, and lead to a recognition or some sort of verbal accountability.

What's funny is that the caller that got under Rowe's skin after the Crows/Sydney game 'Max from Hectorville' isn't actually a Port supporter - he calls KG & Cornesy all the time and claims to be a Crows supporter and tries trolling them too. He called again this afternoon and used the same name but tried to change his voice and Rowe still didn't realise it was him.

Lol did the club really ask members to renew before the finals?? That's crazy if true

Along with signing Hinkley in August, confirms they wanted to lock s**t in before a another likely failure
I got mine in the mail today and an email last week. I didn’t renew this season. So to say they are clutching at straws and it isn’t even October says a lot. I have now sent a terse email telling them to politely stick their renewal where the sun don’t shine.

You want to gaslight me, then you can **** right off if you think I am giving you any money. And unlike many who are struggling severely financially at the moment I could quite comfortably splash a couple of grand on the club if there was change.

Its insane that he doesn't get how much worse this makes it.

If you have a side that can't even win home and away games its gonna take a long time to win a flag and there can be excuses for the coach.

If you have a side with the second best win-loss record over the last 3 years you should be perfectly set to capitalise on that and not make ZERO grand finals from that side.
If Kingsley or McRae was our senior coach in 2023, I'm pretty confident that we'd be playing this weekend!!!!

So Koch is saying we went out in straight sets in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Does this mean:

1. Koch simply has no idea of our history, even recent history?
2. Koch doesn't understand what straight sets actually means?
3. Koch is deliberately trying to gaslight us and hope nobody looks him up?

I feel like its most likely #2, but its hard to say which of the three would be most concerning.

How insulting that they have that We Exist to Win Premierships slogan painted on the wall in the room at AO.
Should be changed to We Exist to Make a Preliminary Final (but making finals in itself is still a pretty good effort.)
We exist to be more than 59-50 is closer to the truth. ****ing weak as piss 😡😡😡

Has Richmond appointed a new Senior Coach yet? Only reason I ask is I see this afternoon that Jacob Koschitzke has requested a trade to the Tigers. David Koch told us this morning players do not go to a club without the Senior Coach locked in.

I’m the end yes they had we just didn’t know yet…… And their selection has spent a fair bit of time with Koschitzke at hawthorn.

There was plenty of other fluff on his spiel this morning to pull apart - the concept that it’s easier to recruit players if you have a coach is probably the ‘least wrong’ of them.
