Roast Sack Koch - Chairman of The Redeem Team

Would be nice if anyone within the club would come out with:
'I made the decision and I will take responsibility for it, and take the consequences if it fails'

Blaming Dom Cassisi is hardly inspiring. Saying that everyone will own it isn't exactly owning it.
Blame Cassisi who was put there by whom?

Lol

I think it might even be 11 clubs, with Carlton or Brisbane to be added to the list this week as well. Don't let Kochie see that data.
Its 12 isn't it?

1. Brisbane/Carlton x1
2. Hawthorn x3
3. Geelong x2
4. Sydney x3
5. Fremantle x1
6. Western Bulldogs x2
7. Adelaide x1
8. West Coast x2
9. Richmond x3
10. Melbourne x1
11. Collingwood x1/2
12. GWS x1/2

The only sides missing are Gold Coast, St Kilda and Brisbane/Carlton, who are all more likely than us and on their way past our perennial holding pattern, Norf, who are Norf, and Essendon who have gone through a drug investigation with sanctions during that time.

Port Adelaide chairman David Koch says Ken Hinkley is the best “available” coach to take the Power forward despite the pain of its straight-sets finals exit. Koch conceded the season wasn’t a success, but maintained the club did not make a mistake in re-signing Hinkley for a further two seasons on the eve of finals.

“The process that we undertook – the board football committee – over the last year … we always said that we would look at Ken’s contract at the end of August so we could assess the year, and that was a month by month basis,” he said on FiveAA on Thursday morning.

“That football committee recommended to the board that Ken was the best coach and we still firmly believe – absolutely believe – he is the best coach to take this club forward. “It certainly wasn’t a success because even Ken was saying that our pass mark was to make a preliminary final. We have got to do better and we think Ken is the person to take us forward,” he said
“I’m as disappointed as anybody. Don’t think that we think it is acceptable to go out in straight sets or not make finals or not win two finals. But it’s our view that of the coaches that are available, Ken is the best person to take the club forward.” Koch said Hinkley had “developed a gun midfield that didn’t work hard enough in the finals” and that losing finals was “whole of club issue”.
He conceded that the team’s performance in big games had to lift after winning just two finals in nine years.
“I look at data. The last four years, we have had the second-best win-loss ratio of any club in the competition, behind Brisbane,” Koch said.

“This year we broke the AFL winning streak with 13 in a row. We finished third in the competition. In four big games, big finals like games, we failed. And unfortunately three of them were at home. “So yes, we’ve got to improve in those big games. The Showdowns and also finals. But you’ve got to give credit to actually get to the finals. It’s no mean feat to get to the finals in three of the last four years while evolving a list. “You think we should sack a coach who has the second best win-loss record over the last three years, that’s been to finals in three of the last four years? A club that hasn’t been to finals in six years is fine, but (we’re not)?

David Koch keeps telling us "We finished third" No we didn't. Otherwise we would be playing this week.
Don't let the truth get in the way.

'You think we should sack a coach who has the second best win-loss record over the last three years'.

What a loser comment. It doesn't account for shit David.

Personally they accept mediocrity, too scared to make hard calls, can't look at themselves and I think they think they think owe themself something like they deserve it, they deserve it after all these years to pat themselves on the back and win a prelim.....

Never ending nightmare.

Actually Holly said "embrace your inner lion and visualise success!" but we assumed this was closer to 'yes' than 'no'...
At least Holly has seen her team win a flag during Hinkley's tenure.

David Koch keeps telling us "We finished third" No we didn't. Otherwise we would be playing this week.
In Koch's world finals don't count. His mate Kenny told him playing finals is overrated after all.

0% I'm returning as a member next year , seats on hold this year , i simply won't accept this historic levels of weakness.

100% of the blaming of our losses on butters and rozee is disgraceful 😤

Its insane that he doesn't get how much worse this makes it.

If you have a side that can't even win home and away games its gonna take a long time to win a flag and there can be excuses for the coach.

If you have a side with the second best win-loss record over the last 3 years you should be perfectly set to capitalise on that and not make ZERO grand finals from that side.

I feel physically ill after reading that.

Get this clown out of our club right now.

With Koch quoting totally useless percentages, perhaps he should quote Hinkley's (non) success in finals as a percentage.
Or even just break down those useless percentages which give you a clearer picture.

Or even just break down those useless percentages which give you a clearer picture.

• 10-11 in Showdowns
• 29-30 in AO night games (2-4 finals)
• 0-6 vs. the current reigning premier outside SA
• 33-3 vs. GC/StK/NM

Those numbers sure scream “be patient! Kenny will do it!” to me.

This fücker's ego won't let him admit that he's made a mistake and his only response to criticism is to double down on his cluelessness.

He has completely destroyed the club's culture and is the worst thing to happen to the PAFC in its 153 year history.

Go find some BBL theatre-going franchise to ruin instead and GTFO of the club.

This guy is now out one of those comedy movies like Billy Madison where the main protagonist is the powerful guy who talks down to everyone because he's in complete control of everything and it takes an exceptional upstart through a series of calamities to expose them to the world and be their undoing. He's literally a caricature now, just spouting complete horse shit from his ivory tower and showing he has nfi and doesn't care because he's untouchable.
