Yeah, I'm pretty sure I read that in a magazzaayyeeeeen.

But I thought Ziggy was the Nas, not Benny?

Ziggy said there's a-Sharman waiting in the sky, he'd like to come and meet us but he thinks he'd blow our minds.

Not sure if you know or not but when you get solar panels fitted the grid supply company will automatically switch you to time of use tariff (the most expensive of course)

Make sure you contact your energy supplier if you want a different tariff arrangement. (what a load of shite privitisation has brought us)
Thanks will check this out. You talking about the retail company yeah?

Makes sense, the Bombers are all about investigating alternative sources of energy

seriously the bombers would plug your solar panels into a nuclear power plant and tell you the energy was coming from the sun.

Not surprising every piece of media about the game has focused on Essendon’s form slump.
In addition, every comment from the commentators post game talked about it being a shock victory, and out of the blue. Shocking the lack of basic research into our form line.

It was all there for Essendon. They were playing for a spot in finals while we had nothing to play for. That should have been a match Essendon won at any cost. I reckon I'd be angry if we went down without a yelp too. As good as we were, Essendon turned up their toes at the first sign of adversity.

I'm a Ross Lyon agnostic but he would at least demand we fought the match out until the end. It wasn't just the loss that was bad for them, it was their lack of fight.

Because we have had a bad season we are seen as a soft kill but since getting players back we haven't been as soft. If I was a journalist I'd twist the knife on Essendon too. They will get a shit load of hits on their articles as the fans all try to digest another year of disappointment.

I think it’s important to remember Essendon only just beat us at the start of the year. That goes the other way we are two points off them. Then take away their easy draw and there is nothing in it.

Yeah - when the distributor approves the system they automatically switch it to Time of Use, its up to you to contact your retailer if you want anything else.

They're supposedly smart meters, why the f*** can't they remember what tariff you had it set on.

Oh yeah - privatised system. 1st profits and then a long long long last is the customer.

No doubt we underachieved this year. Injury probably cost us a chance at finals. A real shame because I think this is one of the most soft and even years ever. A side outside the top 4 could take a flag from nowhere. Any side coming home with a decent injury run and a bit of momentum could jag one.

I have had issues getting to like Sharman, he has always been a great kick for goal and capable of stunning marks. But all too often he has been a brown dwarf, almost a star. But this game, Sharman was a Starman.
He’s something like 45 games in.
He’s going to be a very good forward for us if they actually let him settle there.

We're playing them at Marvel actually. I reckon we could take it right up to them at home too.
what do i know. obviously not much. i mustve 'checked out'.

just came came from 2.5 weeks leave leave and going overseas in less than 2 weeks for 5 weeks.

Yes we may have done better but there’s no way we would have won it with our midfield.
Still happy to be finishing up where we can get a better pick to help resolve this problem.

In the meantime our form since the bye (prob due to the injury list shrinking) has been very positive - bar the Adelaide game - and gives me plenty of hope for next year. Looking forward to the challenges of the next few weeks. I’m glad we are playing some good teams.

Thoughts:

  • Bonner's best game for the club
  • Last fortnight Zac Jones deserves a list spot in in 2025
  • Marshall DESTROYED Draper
  • Mitchito is back
  • Hard to dislike the Caminiti-Membrey-Sharman key forward group
  • Who comes out for Phillipou?
That last is a very real problem. Wouldn’t want to drop anyone from the weekends game.
Is Pou due back this weekend?

hope that Zac jones is not playing well just for a new contract. if so, then give him 1 year.

From a rather scathing article in the The Guardian about Essendon. Methinks the author may be a long suffering supporter

"You can set your calendar to what will happen from here.

Matthew Lloyd will ask about their DNA, and what they stand for. They’ll miss the finals then vow to get fitter and more professional. They’ll self-fund a trip to Boulder, or to Antwerp, or whatever, and film themselves doing Turkish get-ups and sled pulls.

They’ll have a great off season. They’ll win the trade period. They’ll land the steal of the draft. They’ll be flying in summer. They’ll take some big scalps in autumn. But then the grind will set in.

And once again, the question will be asked – are the Bombers a constant work in progress, a fortnight-to-fortnight proposition? Or are they genuine, resolute and durable enough to tough it out?"

Just watched that goal again from NAS - jeez we have really got a player- elite - & starting to put on a bit of muscle - still more upside to come!

Go to training occasionally and they play a competitive small sided (14 v 14?) game on a soccer field - emphasis on ball movement & finding targets in congestion. The best 3 every time- NAS, Sincs & Wilks. They can see angles others can’t and then execute.
