Discussion Saints part ways with recruiting manager after restructure

Dalrymple is a good appointment, but just confirmed what many people thought initially, that Chris Toce was sacked.

I just want to pay respects to past administrators (for all their faults) of the club because you can't recruit to a shithole.

The club really looks like it wants to win a flag. It has been so depressing watching an organisation going through the motions.

I was a Bassat sceptic because he'd been on the board so long and effectively approved of the past inaction but since he took the publicly difficult decision to sack Ratts he hasn't looked back. We're a club that seems to only thrive on captains calls, and he's making the right ones out seems.

It's now pretty clear to me that when Ratten was sacked, it was a reset for the entire club - not just the coaching staff.

From that moment on Bassat has made it pretty clear that there is only 1 goal for the football club - to win more games of football. Every decision has been made with the sole purpose of improving on field... Something the club ignored for way too long.

Toce did a great job in that role, he's behind our best draft period for maybe 15 years.

The Ratts sacking came after a reality check from the review and doubtless some input from Geoff Walsh.
They'd started making good appointments after Lethers arrived and though he's also not been perfect it did raise the bar and got things moving.
We are now very clearly a well run club and footy dpt where good players and staff will want to stay and the guff gets squeezed out.
I'd like Bassett's tenure extended for another term if possible.

Yes they use AI to detect when a Uiger is making their escape and engulf the car in flames. It’s brilliant technology. I expect it to trickle down to entry level camrys in the next 10-15 years
