Does anyone have any legit news on Jon Brown? Ive herd he has spent the summer trimming a few kg and is well under 100kg. He is also not listed as injured. I'm taking it as no news is good news...?

At least you admit it.

Hasn't played yet and probably won't until Round 1, so there's no form line. He's been on light training all preseason to avoid any injury troubles because he's so vital to our hopes this year given we're probably a 8-12 side with him fully fit, but a 13-17 without it. So no injury troubles, all going to plan so far, but you'll have no form line to pick him on. He'll also be our main target up forward, you may have heard that we had to let Fevola go.

You can't be so simple minded this year. You may have to trade premiums out like I am suggesting.

Just say you go for Travis Boak in your side instead of another Collingwood/Saints player (who will have both missed a game by round 10). You can then trade him out after Round 10 for Ablett (therefore neither player misses a round due to the byes).

In this scenario you are saving yourself being a Premium down on 4 occasions - That could be a gain between 250-400 points, if you're near the top it could be the difference between winning and losing.

I'm not saying I'm some sort of guru, however some pretty simple math here shows how this sort of approach will help you.
If you're prepared to use sideways trades on premiums, then yes, you can avoid byes. Personally I think there are better uses for them like upgrading rookies to premiums which also increase your output.

afl.com says chapman is 1-2 weeks away. has that always been the case?

He is a slight chance to play in our final pre seaon match. If he gets up for that then it would ease my mind, if he doesn't it is going to make a few people wonder. Similar to Brown, with no form line to go on, its hard to gage his value this year. He is a gun, and shouldn't decrease too much from last year provided his body is up to a full season, and unfortunately that may not be the case.

will callinan injured, I have 124k for another rookie fwd.

doesnt have to have mpp as I already have that covered, but are there any other good fwd rookies. I already have matera, mzungu, richardson, i.smith

Any decen't Port forwards to pick up? No byes till round 11 etc.

Cyril Rioli.

2010 - OP
2011- injury free.

2010 - behind Hodge in midfield
2011 - Hodge eased in behind Rioli.

Get On!

Robbie gray is a jet - If you're keen to back him.

Surely Port Adelaide will be blooding youngsters. Why have we heard nothing about their rookies?

Keep an eye out on Jarrad Irons. Providing he gets a promotion from the rookie list, he should with our favourite, Matthew Lobbe on the LTI he should get a gig.. Also Pittard and Simon Philips could be worth tracking..

Very highly rated in the 2009 draft but had has injury issues but haven't heard much about him lately.

I assure you he would if not for the injuries.

You don't need to watch much footy of Robbie to understand just how good he is.

But he is injury prone. Believe me i watch nearly every game, i know he is good, but he doesnt score that much. He cracked 100 only once last year. Good player, not good for SC.

There are better options

Phillips had a couple of lively games for the Swans but has broken his jaw again and prob wont be pushing for a senior game for a while still

Gone with a very unique forward line which includes jumping jack & Yarran. Hope it pays off.

Re: Hidden Gems - Forwards

Haven't seen much love for Stevey J on this board. Anyone considering him in their team? He seems to be injury free and has done pretty well over the NAB cup/challenge games. Is there something I am missing?
